overwhelm, it’s no wonder we don’t reach

the goals we set out for ourselves. The

pressure of result-oriented goals creates

negative self-talk, discouragement, and

procrastination.

Now, more than ever before, we need to

discover our core values and take action to

make time for ourselves.

Values are the behaviors and ideas that are

important to us. They are more important

than goals, because they determine

how content we are with our lives. They

encourage us to prioritize accordingly, and

remind us to carve out time for self-care.

Decision-making becomes easier, and goals

become a journey of who we are rather than

an end result.

That’s why planning each day with your

values in mind can benefit you in the longrun!

We simply need to identify our values,

create goals and habits that connect with

them, and regularly review our progress.

Here are some basics to get you started

before you use your Hemlock & Oak planner!

Daily self-care icon: How have you

carved out time for self-care? This icon

appears in each weekly spread. It reminds

you to reconnect with values that are

beneficial to you.

This planner uses a grid system: It’s

meant to encourage you to brainstorm, mind

map, flowchart, draw, hand-letter... anything

you desire! It’s structured flexibility at its

finest.

The layout is clean and minimal: There

is plenty of space in your monthly and

weekly spreads to create your own habit

charts, take notes, or journal.
