COMMONWEALTH KARATE CHAMPION<br />
Zara Wech, Year 11, competed over the holidays in the Commonwealth Karate Championships in Sydney and<br />
came back to NZ with a gold medal, coming first in her category, 16‐17 year old – Under 48kg Kumite, for<br />
fighting. A great achievement for Zara, who has been working hard at her karate for 4 years.<br />
Her next goal is “to be selected for the Worlds Championship and do well”. Good luck Zara!<br />

Selina Veltman ‐ Young Credit Professional of the Year 2010<br />
At a glittering event held in Auckland on 7 July ex‐Head Girl, Selina<br />
Veltman, won the NZ Young Credit Professional of the Year Award. The<br />
Award, presented by the NZ Credit and Finance Institute, honours the best<br />
of the best in the credit and finance industry sector. Selina was absolutely<br />
astounded at winning the award and thought being nominated and getting<br />
into the finals was cool and would look great on her CV! She is currently<br />
also completing an accounting degree. Congratulations, Selina.<br />
