Traditional engines vs. Direct Injection engines<br />

In a traditional petrol injection engine, fuel is sprayed into the intake system, where it is mixed with the air<br />

before being sucked into the combustion chamber and ignited. This method offers far from perfect efficiency as<br />

the fuel/air mix is not uniform. Some fuel would also evaporate before reaching the combustion chamber.<br />

Direct injectors are located in the cylinder head and spray very finely atomised fuel directly into the<br />

combustion chamber. This method allows for a near perfect fuel/air mixture ensuring efficient combustion,<br />

excellent performance, lower fuel consumption and reduced exhaust emissions.<br />

Direct Injection engines are extremely sensitive to contamination<br />

Gasoline direct injection engines and their components are engineered to very exacting tolerances and operate<br />

under severe conditions. Direct injection engines use smaller and lighter engines with a turbocharger but<br />

operate at higher temperatures and pressure. They produce more NOx and particulates requiring the engine<br />

to be equipped with EGR valves and particulate filters and the fuel system to be treated with the latest additives<br />

technologies.<br />

Usage:<br />

• For all petrol GDI and Hybrid<br />

• Do not apply to vehicles where the intercooler is<br />

integrated into the inlet manifold<br />

• If excessive knocking or backfire occurs during<br />

treatment, pause the application and allow the<br />

engine to idle for 3-4 minutes before<br />

recommencing treatment. If knocking persists, the<br />

inlet manifold may have excessive contamination<br />

and require manual cleaning.<br />

• Regular maintenance: Add one bottle to the fuel<br />

tank at each vehicle service and repeat every 10,000<br />

km’s or more frequently if required.<br />

• Best practice: It is highly recommended to clean the<br />

APPLICATION<br />

• Spray the product directly on the surface to be cleaned from a 20-30 cm<br />

distance.<br />

• Allow the product to act for 30-60 seconds, then wipe the surface with a<br />

clean dry cloth.<br />

• Do not allow the product to dry on surfaces, wipe for perfect finish.<br />

• When nearby surfaces need to be avoided, it is recommended to apply the<br />

product directly onto a cloth, then gently wipe the area to be cleaned.<br />

• Turn off electrical items and leave to cool before cleaning.<br />

• Always follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions<br />

• Ventilate the cabin before using the vehicle.<br />

USAGE<br />

• Suitable for use on all types of plastic surfaces and flat/plasma/LCD screens<br />

(common in the new digital dashboards).<br />
