Penny trained in musical theatre at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park and studied dance &

performing arts at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts), where she went on to become a lecturer

in dance & movement for 10 years. As a performer and choreographer, Penny has worked in many areas

of theatre & arts including stage, film and events in the UK and abroad. Alongside this she has 18 years of

experience delivering vocational theatrical training as well as facilitating community dance projects in the

northwest and southwest.

As well as delivering on the dance course at boomsatsuma, she is a lecturer at BIPA (Bristol Institute for

Performing Arts). Penny is also co-director and founder of dance company Movema, specialising in world

dance and community arts.

Musical Theatre & Jazz

Chevon Edwards received a BPA Degree in Contemporary Dance from the specialist conservatoire,

Northern School of Contemporary Dance. After graduating she then went on to perform and teach

dance with a variety of UK based dance companies as well as continuing to deepen her practice through

International workshops and professional classes.

Contemporary & Repertory

Lizzie trained at the prestigious Bird College in London, studying on the Professional Dance and Musical

Theatre course. Here she studied in a wide range of dance styles including ballet, tap, musical theatre,

commercial, contemporary and Jazz. She also studied acting through song and singing. Lizzie has been

performing for over 18 years in various theatres and performance spaces across the UK and recently

played the role of Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical at the Theatre Royal, Bath. Teaching has always

been a passion of hers, as she enjoys helping young people develop their skills, strength and love for

dance and musical theatre.
