Anew exhibition showcasing thephotographs is soon to open atThe National Library of Walesin Aberystwyth.20:20 Vision is deliberatelywide in scope, allowing thephotographer to freely travelthroughout the country, takingpictures on his travels. Muchof the work is observationalin nature as Treharne soughtout engaging moments in thestreets, the countryside andin many events across Wales.Portraits of people met alongthe way are also featured.Culminating in an exhibitionof twenty striking photographs,the project is a fascinatingrecord of Wales and its peopleas we enter a new decade.Nick Treharne’s 20:20 Vision- A Portrait of Wales will openat The National Library ofWales in Aberystwyth onSaturday, 25 th April 2020.For more info visit: library.walesSpring In UcheldreMagical Mozart In MarchSpring comes to Ucheldre,an Arts Centre in Millbank,Holyhead, bringing freshideas and activities for all thefamily. We are witnessing theliteral growth of a new projectbegun last year in an outsidespace. Our new kitchen gardenproject, Run by Wild Elements,a local, not for profit, team whoinspire people in North Walesto get outdoors and connectwith nature. This has becomea really interesting addition toour already lovely gardens andamphitheatre. Chiming toowith our aim to create a placewhere people can come becreative and thrive.Moving indoors, through thecloister of this old chapel withits stained glass filled arches,you enter our main Galleryspace. Ucheldre is hosting anexhibition of work by membersof the Anglesey Arts Forumto coincide with their EasterOpen Studios event.As well, artists who don’thave a studio come along andwork in our gallery, invitingquestions and conversation.Beyond broadcasts andfilms screened at Ucheldre wehave a spectrum of live eventstaking place. For example,dancing up a storm, JamesWilton Dance do literallybring us The Storm, a creativework that will astound youwith its athleticism and touchyou emotionally in a waythat words simply can’t.
