REVO-E GLOBAL The REVO-E Global product family of electric roof units plays a leading role in electric- and hybrid-bus HVAC systems. Their modular design makes them adaptable and special emphasis has been placed on keeping the weight of the structure light, extending the output range and simplifying installation, it explains. A heat-pump option and/or heating components make it possible to boost the vehicle’s range. Thanks to the fully automatic defrosting feature, the heat pump works even when the outside temperature falls precipitously, Valeo says. The REVO-E Global electric roof unit is affordable to run and, with its hermetically sealed refrigeration circuit, REVO-E Global requires virtually zero maintenance and is leak proof, Valeo adds. SPUMP S120 Valeo has supplemented its latest generation of SPump circulation pumps with a 120W version that is particularly suitable for smaller water circuits. It provides the high performance required for e-bus applications with a flow rate of 4,000L/hour @ 0.35 bar. The 120W model has 40 per cent fewer individual parts, making it the lightest weight and most compact circulation pump of its kind within the product family, Valeo states. E-COOLER BTM Valeo offers a full range of battery thermal management systems covering versions with either 5, 8 or 10kW. E-Cooler cools the battery during the charging or discharging process and during the journey at higher ambient temperatures. Depending on the outside temperature, it cools in two different ways: low ambient temperature for an energy-saving cooling mode (passive cooling) or an active cooling circuit (active cooling) at higher temperatures. The standalone solution with a complete coolant circuit including electric heating and water pump is modular and can be regulated according to the energy demand, Valeo explains. UV PURIFIER Valeo’s UV purifier system eliminates, in a single airflow cycle, more than 95 per cent of viruses, including Covid-19, as well as any bacteria or mould present in the air circulating in the cabin, the company says. The Valeo devices are available as a standalone solution box or they can be directly integrated into the vehicle’s air conditioning systems, it adds. Valeo has created a unique solution integrating a UV light and a ‘light labyrinth’, which blocks the UV rays from spreading outside of the metal box, ensuring that passengers are never exposed to them. Only the air circulating in the ventilation box is purified by the light., Valeo says.
