The Plus from ultrafilter – dry compressed
air
Leaving the last filtration stage the compressed
air is free of particles, oil and
water but far from being dry. ultrafilter has
therefore integrated their proven membrane
dryer in the FRL system.
Air coming from the filters enters the integrated
dryer and is led through the centre
of a bundle of hollow fibres. Moisture diffuses
across the semi-permeable membranes
as air moves through the centre of
the hollow fibre bundle. A small portion of
the dried compressed air is led back over
the outside of the fibre bundle and vented
to atmosphere via outlets. The dry air produced
leaves the system in order to drive
the application or to enter the next purification
step.
Always the right pressure.
Different pneumatic components usually
require different operation pressures. The
purified compressed air comes with an
operating pressure generated in a central
compressor station. The operating pressure
has to become adjusted to the individual
pneumatic components. An implemented
regulator ensures that the maximum
pressure for the pneu-matic component
will not be exceeded and eliminates the
transmission of pressure shock waves.
No bitter aftertaste.
After filtration and drying the purified compressed
air still contains oil and water
aerosols and odour. If the following pneumatic
components requires absolutely oilfree
compressed air, e.g. in food industry,
these aerosols must be eliminated by an
activated carbon filter.
ultrafilter Oil Mist Lubricator – and everything
will work out fine.
Usually pneumatic cylinders and actuators
depend on a constant amount of lubricated
compressed air in order to do their job
with the required precision and repeating
accuracy. These pneumatic components
therefore depend on a certain amount of
oil only a lubricator can ensure. The ultrafilter
mist lubricator ensures function of
pneumatic components and improves operation
time.
