The 6th annual Manchester Snowman
Building Contest runs through Feb. 28,
2021. Manchester businesses and residents
can build a custom snowman and enter it to
win prizes. Participants should email snowman
photos along with their name, address,
phone and the date the snowman was built

A holiday outdoor decorating contest
for Manchester residents and businesses
runs through Dec. 15. Participants must
email the name, phone and the address of
the nominated home or business to shardesty@manchestermo.gov.
Prizes will be
awarded to winners.

Individuals can drop-off letters to
Santa until Friday, Dec. 18 at the Manchester
Parks Department. Manchester’s
elves will make sure Santa sees the letters
and writes back. Send letters and a
self-addressed, stamped envelope to Santa
Claus c/o Manchester Parks Department,
359 Old Meramec Station Road. Manchester,
MO 63021. All ages welcome to
participate.

Winter Jewels is open from 10 a.m.-4
p.m. through Thursday, Dec. 31 at The
Butterfly House, 15193 Olive Blvd. in
Chesterfield. The Butterfly House will
transform into an enchanted land full
of knights, dragons, gnomes and, of
course, jewel-toned butterflies. Exhibit is
included with the cost of admission. On
Wednesdays through Fridays, “Books and
Butterflies” will offer visitors a themed
story time featuring special guest hosts
of local heroes, authors, mascots, animal

The Holiday Express Miniature Train
runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays
and Sundays through Friday, Jan. 1 at the
National Museum of Transportation, 2933
Barrett Station Road in Kirkwood. Take
a ride on the C.P. Huntington Miniature
Train, fit for all ages. Cost is $5 per person
(in addition to museum admission).

Letters from Santa runs from
Friday, Nov. 20 through
Sunday, Dec. 13 at Bluebird
Park, 225 Kiefer Creek
Road in Ellisville. A mailbox
will be set up in front
of the Parks and Recreation
Administration building for children
to mail their letters to Santa. Letters may
also be mailed to: SANTA CLAUS 225
Kiefer Creek Road, Ellisville, MO 63021.
To receive a personal response, each letter
should include the child’s first and last
name and a return address. All letters must
be dropped off or mailed by Dec. 13.

Santa’s Magical Kingdom opens on
Friday, Nov. 20 and runs nightly from
5:30-10:30 p.m., Sunday-Thursday; and
5:30-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays;
including all holidays, through Jan. 10
at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park, 5300 Fox
Creek Road in Pacific. The drive-thru holiday
light display feature animated scenes,
special effects and millions of lights. Participants
can view Santa safely from their
vehicle and drop off letters, enjoy train
and wagon rides, and visit Kringle’s
General Store. Admission is $25
per vehicle. Admission for wagon
and train rides is $14 per person.

The Moolah Shriners hosts their
second annual “FEZtival of
Trees” at the Family Arena, 2002
Arena Parkway in St. Charles,
Nov. 21-28. Over 40 Christmas
trees loaded with gifts
will be available for bidding

Magic event runs from

includes a life-size
Gingerbread Village,
a Snowball Carnival,

Magical Nights will take place from 5-8 p.m.
on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings

A Candlelight Stroll at Thornhill is
from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 4-5 at the Historic
Thornhill Site in Faust Park, 15025 Faust

have their own areas for their hunt and different
hunt times. There will be a special
guest appearance, holiday craft and free
hot cocoa provided. Ages 2-12. Registration

Ice will be virtual this year on Dec. 12.

A virtual Christmas Candlelight Concert
by the Bach Society is at 7 p.m. on
Wednesday, Dec. 23. Hailed as one of the
top 20 live Christmas events in North America
by BBC Music Magazine, the event is
an immersive virtual concert with the
