news and information.
This includes optional

How do I sign up for SNN?
You must have Internet access and an e-mail address
to receive SNN alerts. Go to www.fmschools.org and
click on the SNN logo. Enter your name, e-mail address
and a password. If you are subscribing to notifications
and want to also receive text alerts, enter your cell
phone information. Click “Create new profile” to go to
the Subscribe page.
Check your e-mail. A message from notifier@
fmschools.org will contain a confirmation code. Enter
it on the Subscribe page. Then, select all the alerts you
wish to receive and click “Subscribe.” You can revisit
the SNN home page to log in and change your profile or
alert settings at any time.
How do I unsubscribe?
If you decide you no longer want to receive SNN
alerts, it is easy to unsubscribe. Simply log in to your
SNN account, click on the “unsubscribe” link, fill in
the form and submit. Every SNN message includes
directions on changing your profile and unsubscribing.

7 F-M High School News:
Receive announcements and news from Fayetteville-Manlius High
School, including an on-line parent newsletter.
8 Closings & Delays:
Find out about school closings, delays and early dismissals via
e-mail and text message (optional) to your cell phone.
The district will use both Connect Ed. and SNN to notify parents
of closings and delays. Through Connect Ed., they will receive
automated phone calls. Through SNN, they will receive e-mail
and optional text alerts. By using both tools, the district will have
a greater chance of reaching every parent in a timely fashion.
Also, through SNN, other members of the community – such
as grandparents and caregivers – have the option of receiving
emergency notifications.

What is the value of SNN?
SNN allows the district to:
Quickly communicate time-sensitive information.
Address rumors and eliminate misinformation.
Save taxpayer money on printing and postage.
Help parents and district residents become better
informed about Fayetteville-Manlius Schools.
What if I don’t have Internet
access or an e-mail address?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to take advantage
of this service. However, you will be able to continue to
receive information through the traditional channels,
including printed newsletters and the media.
SNN is just one more channel to improve
communications in the district.
What if my e-mail program
thinks SNN messages are junk
mail?
Some e-mail providers are very aggressive about
identifying spam or junk mail. Our SNN return e-mail,
notifier@fmschools.org, is a valid address. However,
it is possible that your e-mail program might put
messages from this address into your spam or junk
folder.
To eliminate this possibility, please add notifier@
fmschools.org to your e-mail address book or
“white list” of trusted senders.
