Candice Swanepoel is undoubtedly
one of the biggest names in the
modelling industry now. She is also
one of the world’s highest paid
models with a net worth of an
estimated US$10 million. She made
it to the 2013 Forbes list of the world’s
highest-paid models.
The South African was spotted by
a talent scout at a flea market in
Durban when she was 15. A year
later, she started booking modelling
jobs across Europe until she made
the big move to New York City,
United States, at 18, to pursue
modelling as a full-time career.
Swanepoel is one of the most
recognizable Victoria’s Secret
Models, having made her debut
in 2007. She has graced the
covers of countless magazines
including Nylon, Elle, and Vogue.
She has walked the runway for
notable designers such as Diane
Von Furstenberg, Nanette Lepore
and Betsy Johnson. She is currently
signed to IMG and is another worthy
mention in this list of African models.
