WELCOME On behalf of the board, staff, faculty, and members of Hui Noèau Visual Arts Center, it is a delight to welcome you to the 2010 Art Affair auction & benefit, The Bourbon Street Ball! Proceeds from tonight’s Raise the Paddle auction will complement the significant achievements the Hui has made during the last year with regard to children’s educational programming. The goal of Hui youth programs is to offer highquality visual arts education and cultural enrichment to every interested child regardless of their socioeconomic background or artistic aptitude. The Hui collaborates with community schools like Makawao’s Kalama Intermediate & Kihei’s Kamaliì Elementary, as well as organizations that enable access to the arts for at-risk youth and those with special needs. We also extend scholarships to families unable to afford tuition for classes & workshops. I wish to express our deepest appreciation to the individuals and local businesses that generously gave their time, energy and donations to this event. We hope you will enjoy the elegant evening it has become as we celebrate Maui’s next generation of artists.
