used to. But of course we are grateful for<br />
all the positive feedback. Also working<br />
with Calvin Hollywood was a really great<br />
experience. It was my first professional<br />
photoshoot apart from a convention<br />
ever. I learned a lot and we were happy<br />
he chose us for this free project.<br />

Q. You are fairly new to cosplaying –<br />
what challenges did you face in cosplay<br />
which you didn’t know about earlier?<br />

Q. You’ve been featured on several<br />
platforms & done a shoot with<br />
renowned photographer Calvin<br />
Hollywood – do you enjoy the<br />
popularity or are you still adjusting<br />
to the spotlight?<br />
Marcel: Popularity? Well, actually, I<br />
don’t like being popular. I’m proud to<br />
wear Kes’s creations and bring the<br />
characters we both love to life. It is<br />
a big honor to be featured, but it is<br />
nothing we aim for or are getting<br />
Marcel: Attention. Being the middle<br />
child of five, I was not used to being in<br />
the spotlight at any point in my life.<br />
Gearing up e.g. as Thor or Kratos and<br />
having people wait in line for selfies at<br />
conventions was something I never<br />
expected and still haven’t gotten used to.<br />
Also I find it really challenging to be in<br />
make-up for hours before you even can<br />
go out to shoot or a convention.<br />
