With the 2020 lockdown and cancellation of every<br />
major event in the region, it seemed like the end<br />
of <strong>Cosplay</strong>. There was no hope outside closet<br />
cosplaying within the confines of your home – limited to<br />
the viewership of your mostly horrified family members<br />
and pets. It seemed like nothing could motivate cosplayers<br />
or support the cosplay community.<br />
Two competitions came to light which managed to bring all<br />
of us together again in the form of online events -<br />
<strong>Cosplay</strong> <strong>Arabia</strong>’s Middle East Challenge and<br />
Speedy Comics Con Dubai.<br />
