LEGION OF HONOR
Not a whole lot has changed since our last article. Pandemic-wise, it’s still one step forward, then half
a step (or more) back. Hang in there and keep your fingers crossed.
On the plus side, the annual Legion family picnic and the Commander's Ball went well. Unfortunately,
the Legion Christmas Party scheduled for Dec. 20 had to be cancelled. Hopefully, by the time you read
this article, we will have had a planning meeting and info for the year mailed out.
Our now Past Commander Clint did attend the Potentate's Testimonial on November 15 and presented
the Potentate with a check from the Legion of Honor for $1000, $500 of which was for the Transportation
Fund and $500 for the Rajah General Fund.
I would like to extend my congratulations to the Legion’s officers for 2021. May this be a much
better year than 2020. PC Clint deserves a round of applause for a job well done under far less than good
conditions. The Legion also extends congratulations to our 2021 Potentate, Ill. Sir Kraig Leiby, his Lady
Janet, and the 2021 Divan officers. Hopefully, following the CDC guidelines, 2021 will get all of us through
Here’s another reminder for that trip we have planned to the International Tattoo in Norfolk, Virginia on April 16 & 17, 2021.
Reservation limit is 49 people. As of Jan. 1, we have 47. If you are interested and we get filled up, put your name on our waiting
list. What with this COVID-19 thing, who knows what changes may occur. The trip is restricted to adults only. Everyone who ever
attended this event thought it was great.
Everyone stay safe and healthy, and have a Happy New Year.
