A warm welcome to The Global Recovery Movement’s public health
crisis campaign, “Stop Fentanyl Poisoning and the Opioid Epidemic”!
We are asking you to commit to the power of 10 by making 10 phone
calls and sending 10 postcards to 10 local leaders including your police
chief that you either have or can develop relationships with. Since
warm introductions work best, if you know someone who knows your
Police Chief or Mayor, please ask them to introduce you or ask if you
can use their name when making the calls.
To help make this urgent campaign successful, it's important that you
keep these impactful numbers in mind:
270 a day or 100,000 in the past year alone young people are
dying every single day from Fentanyl poisoning and opioid
overdoses - 85% are from fentanyl poisoning
87,000 deaths in 2020
Over 100,000 deaths from Fentanyl and opioids are estimated
for 2021
2 tiny salt-like grains of Fentanyl can kill an adult
Fentanyl can make a person instantly stop breathing
Fentanyl is found in most illicit drugs and fake pills like
OxyContin, Xanax, Percocet, Adderall, Ecstasy and fentanyl
poisoning
