HER LIFE
Josephine Bright a mother and Grandmother has lived her life in a very
She appreciated the simple things in life and loved effortlessly.
HER LIKES
She was a leader that always wanted to have things right with high integrity.
A strong committed Christian in the Catholic faith, prayed at St. Charles
Lwanga Catholic Church.
Always loved hosting and entertaining friends and family at her house.
She also loved flowers, gardening and farming.
Josephine could not skip more than three months minus having something
that would bring people together at her house.
HER FAMILY & CHILDREN
Raised us in a very humbling way, with so much love, care and committment.
Her kindness was infectious.
Although she lived with a chronic illness, Authitis for over 40 years,
having been in faith most of the times, even when she was in pain,
she always kept a smile on her face to give hope and confort to
everyone around her.
ENTRANCE
NEARER MY GOD TO THEE
Nearer my God to thee, Nearer to thee!
E’en tho’ it be a cross that raiseth me;
Still all my song shall be, Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee, Nearer to thee!
Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
Yet in my dreams I’d be, Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee, Nearer to thee!
There let the way appear, steps unto heav’n
All that thou sendest me, in mercy giv’n;
Angels to beckon me, Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee, Nearer to thee!
Then with my waking thoughts,
bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs,
Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer to thee!
Or if on joyful wing,
cleaving the sky,
Sun, moon and stars forgot,
upward I fly;
Still all my song shall be,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer to thee!
Though things go well with me, comfort in life,
Friend, food and property money and all
Still all I want shall be,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer my God to thee,
Nearer to thee!
WISDOM CH 3: 1-9
1 But the souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment of death
will touch them
2 In the eyes of the foolish, they seemed to die, and their departure was
considered an affliction
3 and their going away from us, a banishment. Yet they are in peace
4 And though, in the sight of men, they suffered torments, their hope is
full of immortality
5 Troubled in few things, in many things they will be well compensated,
because God has tested them and found them worthy of himself
6 Like gold in the furnace, he has proved them, and as a holocaust victim,
he has received them, and in the time of their visitatio
7 they will shine, and they will dash about like sparks among stubble
8 They will judge the nations and they will rule over the people, and their
Lord will reign forever
9 Those who trust in him, will understand the truth, and those who are
faithful in love will rest in him, because grace and peace is for his elect
MEDITATION
IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
When peace, like a river attendethmy way
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well; it is well with my soul.
It is well, it is well with my soul
With my soul. It is well; it is well with my soul.
It is well, it is well with my soul
With my soul. It is well; it is well with my soul.
Though satan should buffet, the trials
should come, Let this blest assurance control
That Christ has regarded my
helplessness state And hath shed
his own blood for my soul.
My sin oh, the bliss of this glorious thought,
My sin not in part, but the whole
Is nailed on the cross and I bear it no more,
Praises the lord, praises the lord o my soul!
It is well, it is well with my soul
With my soul. It is well; it is well with my soul.
It is well, it is well with my soul
With my soul. It is well; it is well with my soul.
And Lord haste the day when the faith shall be sight
The cloud be rolled back as a scroll,
The trump shall resound and the
Lord shall descend, Even so it is
well with my soul.
COMMUNION
COME AND DINE
Jesus has a table spread
Where the saints of God are fed,
He invites His chosen people,
“Come and dine”;
With His manna He doth feed
And supplies our every need:
Oh, ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time!
Refrain:
“Come and dine,” the Master calleth, “Come and dine”;
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time;
He Who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now, “Come and dine.”
The disciples came to land,
Thus obeying Christ’s command,
For the Master called unto them,
“Come and dine”;
There they found their heart’s desire,
Bread and fish upon the fire;
Thus He satisfies the hungry every time.
Refrain:
“Come and dine,” the Master calleth, “Come and dine”;
You may feast at Jesus’ table all the time;
He Who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now, “Come and dine.”
Soon the Lamb will take His bride
To be ever at His side,
All the host of heaven will assembled be;
Oh, ’twill be a glorious sight,
All the saints in spotless white;
And with Jesus they will feast eternally.
From the day I met you I felt nothing but genuine love. The kind of motherly love cause you
I visited you. Iam fortunate to have met an angel like you , cause then I experienced love only
few can witness they have come across. Somewhere in my heart beneath all the pain and grief
is a smile I still wear at the thought of you. No amount of words can express how deeply you
made an impact on me with your love and joy. Rest well beloved mother. Briannah
In loving memory of a dear sister how can l find the words to tell you of how l miss you and
To others she was an Iron Lady, strong willed, and devoted.
To others, she was a devout Catholic, a Lover of God and a Lover of Justice.
To others she was a politician, a born Leader, a promoter of Justice and Development.
A born Political Scientist. To me she was a Natural Mother to us, A joyful party-starter, a
Team Builder and a most valuable Sister. God is also enjoying her company.
May Nalongo rest in eternal peace. Yours Brother
"UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN"
Those Special Memories will always bring a smile, if only I would have you back for just a little while.
Then we could sit and talk again. Oh my beloved sister, that now is not with me again, let me recall those
old days in Mbarara at home. An intelligent and humble daughter in the family, with passion to study,
starting from the primary school to that strong well known Nyakasura School in Fort-portal, Western
Uganda and even beyond. At home we sat together and indeed you took care of me, as your young sibling.
The fact that you are no longer here, will always cause me pain. The fact that I never said goodbye to you
due to circumstances beyond my control makes me think you are there. Indeed I know you are there in that
peaceful heaven and one time I will join you there. Definitely the care you gave me, the advice, the comfort
and the support in one way or the other still counts in my heart.
Oh my Lord, I know you are no longer there, but my Heart is still with you. A gallant daughter to our
family, a mother and indeed a strong one who fought day and night for the upbringing and success of your
children, who qualify as witnesses to this, will never make us forget you and makes you a great mother of
all the time on earth. Remember you never said to me; I am leaving not even goodbye. You were gone
before I knew it and only God knows why. My mind still talks to you. My heart still looks for you.
Josephine as the ‘’Nalongo’’, the young and the elders knew, my beloved sister, that my children called
Auntie, that my wife praised and respected, I still miss you so much and will do for ever. Your parents who
joined heaven before, I think now they can see you and recall the love they had for you.
God has you in his arms. I have you in my heart. Yours Brother
Mama, death has made me realize that I truly never knew the meaning of the words ' I Miss
You' until I reached for your hand and it's no where to be found. Omulungi wange I now
know why you would ask me to always be a strong woman cause you knew that a day like this
would come where I need nothing but strength to bear such a big loss. Mama you taught me
everything except one of not living without you, Miss your love, care, guidance and being
around you. Here wishing God can do me a miracle and introduce heaven visiting hours so
that I can get a chance of seeing and talking to you again.
they are still alive in our hearts and minds - through us they live on. You were the best Mum &
Mom Nalomgo was the strongest lady I ever met both in character and at heart. I doubt
there enough words that can describe her unique personality but to me. She was a friend
that brought light and laughter . I wish I had the chance to tell her how much of an
inspiration she was to me before her passing. I pray that she has a new found peace in the
afterlife as her memory lives on through all that loved her.
Murungi Lauretah
Honestly I have failed to come up with a msg cause they're no words which can Express
my loss or the way I feel after losing my best friend my mentor my mum and my one and
only wife if heaven was a lane I would have walked straight and bring back that Bright
light and get rid of the darkness you left.i know the Angels wouldn't have permitted me
cause they also welcomed you as an Angel. RIP sweet heart.
