A WINTER’S COLLECTION
Editor’s
Letter
I
just want to start by saying a big hello to all our new readers!
You may have noticed that Surrey Homes is popping up
in Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores and we’re thrilled to be
getting lots of lovely feedback from people who have picked
up a copy for the first time. We love to know what you’ve been
up to and what you think of the magazine, so please do get in
touch with me at lucy.fleming@priceless-group.com to fill us in!
We hope that SH continues to provide a little light relief and
inspiration at such a difficult time, and this issue is no different
with our monthly mix of interiors, recipes, fashion and garden
advice. This month, we’ve focused in on interiors for our
Supplement, and my colleague Rebecca Cuffe has been researching
the most beautiful decor, objects and soft furnishings to create
a real home statement. Be inspired by her gorgeous mood
boards and read all about designer dream rooms after page 72.
It’s easy to say – but sometimes incredibly hard to put into
practice – that during an unprecedented situation like this we
all need to remember to take time for ourselves. If you want to
know how to, then turn to our health pages for expert advice
and achievable goals from personal trainer Sarah Maxwell
and nutritionist Charlotte Lau. Both explain how to nourish
yourself mentally and physically and – most importantly –
why it’s vital to give yourself a break from time to time!
For the ultimate in escapism, and to regain a little
control of something, join Jo Arnell and Sue Whigham in
the garden to find out how to prep your outside space
for its best summer yet, and make sure you can deter
the pests who seek to destroy it – the kind way!
