Hammer Time
Parker Fine Art Auctions are running monthly sales
of paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, photography,
maps, and frames, old and new – everything you
need to give your home some artistic flair.
The auction house was set up in Farnham last year by
Buffy Parker and Henny Smith who, with their staff,
have well over a century of combined experience
working in the fine art and auction world, so you’re
in safe hands if you’re looking to sell, too. Plus the
seller’s fee is just £10 per lot, which also means that
buyers get a steady stream of new items for sale. Each auction
contains 400-600 lots in all sorts of styles, from Old Masters several
hundred years old to contemporary artists such as Antony Gormley.
The next auction, on March 18, will be conducted by Buffy and
Henny live over two different auction platforms, allowing people to
join in the fun and drama of an auction from home. You’ll be bidding
(virtually) alongside people from around the world who enjoy the
convenience and anonymity of buying online or by phone, with
prices ranging from under £100 to tens of thousands of pounds.

The new studio of artists Kevin
Darke and Nicki Cashmore is a perfect
addition to historic Church Street in
Godalming. This creative pair work hard
progressing their art and living aboard a
narrowboat, they are both heavily influenced
by the beauty of their surroundings. On the first
weekend of each month, the studio is open to the
public (government restrictions allowing), so you
can view their stunning work in person, or check
out their Instagram @churchststudio to see all
their latest work. All of their work is for sale,
and current pieces available range from £110-
£5,000. Lockdown or not, you can contact
