We are Yellowjackets. We are #YJNation! The Sheridan School
District proudly serves 4,100+ students in and around Sheridan
(Grant County) and the East End community (Saline County).
With Sheridan being a small town just 30 minutes away from
Little Rock, the YJ Nation is quickly becoming known as one
of the capital city’s friendliest commuter school districts.
The Sheridan School District has dedicated teachers with
advanced degrees and national certifications. The district offers
a rich curriculum based on the Arkansas State Standards in
addition to a variety of enrichment courses and extracurricular
activities, ranging from band and choir to robotics. Winning
several state championships in recent years, the Yellowjacket
athletics program is booming. The district now supports
13 AAA sports composed of 38 different teams. More than
700 students participate in some form of athletics.
At Sheridan High School, students may choose from
several Advanced Placement (AP) and college credit as well as
technical courses. The Sheridan School District has become
a leader among school districts in Arkansas for serving
advanced students and has revamped its Career and Technical
Education program, adding courses in engineering, advanced
manufacturing, computer science, agriculture mechanics,
and entrepreneurship. The Kohler Academy, located at
Sheridan High School, features a Kohler Robotics Lab with
equipment actually used in Kohler manufacturing plants.

Sheridan School District is making significant improvements
to its facilities including a 150,000 sq.ft. addition to
the high school, a new middle school in East End,
and a reconstructed middle school in Sheridan.
