Mark Rusc forms campaign committee
A ten-year resident who serves as chair of the Historic Preservation
Commission filed forms with the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission on
Wed Feb 10, documenting the formation of a campaign committee for the Board
of Commissioners election on Tue May 11.
Mark Rusc grew up in New Jersey, joined the US Navy, was given the
opportunity to earn a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering and attend the Naval
Nuclear Power Program, one of the Navy’s most prestigious programs.
“My Navy carrier taught me many life lessons, which I try to employ every
day,” Rusc says. His career was cut short, however, when he was disabled. He
transitioned to working for various defense contractors as a design engineer,
program manager, and finally an executive. He then seized the opportunity to
start his own engineering and consulting firm. He has supported, and led, many
large projects for the US Government, other governments, and a number of
large corporations.
“I believe Haddonfield is at a crucial time where decisions being made now
will have long-term effects on our community, its character, and charm,” Rusc
said. “I’m running for commissioner because I believe these upcoming
decisions need to be made in the most transparent, and fully analyzed manner
possible.”
“We should encourage, and be open to utilizing, all the talent that our
borough residents have to offer. I wholeheartedly believe that we can make
better decisions together, and I hope the voters of Haddonfield will give me
the chance to work with them in doing our part to ensure we make the best
decisions for Haddonfield’s future.
Mark Rusc and his wife Kristy became Haddonfield residents in 2011. Their
three children attend Central Elementary and the Middle School.
