PRODUCTIVE AMERICANS, NOW
DECOUPLED FROM THE GRIND OF
CITY LIFE, HAVE FOUND THEY ARE
MORE PRODUCTIVE WORKING
FROM AN ENVIRONMENT
THAT FEEDS THEIR SOUL AND
SPIRIT. THERE IS NO BETTER
PLACE THAN PERDIDO KEY
FOR THAT NOURISHMENT!
Welcome home to Perdido Key. Whether you
are here for the first time or coming back
for the 20th visit, you are home as long as
you are here. If you are like many of us,
Perdido Key will take up residence in your heart and soul no matter
where you go for the rest of your life.
Our island has experienced some significant evolutions in the last
year. Perdido Key Drive, the main thoroughfare on the
island, has transferred from state to local control. This
ensures that it will forever remain a two-lane road and
secure the building cap on Perdido Key. We are one of
the last unspoiled beachfronts in Florida, protected by
our Master Plan and the Habitat Conservation Plan.
Local control of the road now enables us to be better
stewards of our home and secures the island’s future.
The COVID era has taught us that many of
our jobs can be performed remotely. This change to
our perception of “going to work” will be the most
enduring change of 2020. Productive Americans, now decoupled from
the grind of city life, have found they are more productive working
from an environment that feeds their soul and spirit. There is no better
place than Perdido Key for that nourishment! Soon you will start asking
yourself, “Why do I leave this place?” (It is OK, we all do it.). This
time it is not a hypothetical question...go ahead and extend your stay a
week...a month...a lifetime. Great things are happening on Perdido Key.

District 2 County Commissioner,
Escambia County
