Organisers of Rainford’s Picnic in the Park have announced
that they will be moving forward with their plans for this
year’s event. Picnic in the Park is scheduled to take place
on Saturday June 12, with a reduced capacity of 2,000 to
adhere to any social distancing measures and tickets are
now on sale.
The group will be keeping everyone informed of their
plans via their website and Facebook
page as they work towards another
fabulous festival this year.
Amongst the six bands
appearing at the event is
the magnificent ‘From
The Jam’, made up of
two of the original
members of The
Jam, Rick Buckler
and Bruce Foxton,
along with vocalist
Russell Hastings.
In addition to the music line up there will be children’s
activities, a range of stalls and various food outlets. No
alcohol is sold on site, but you are welcome to bring your
own along with your own food choices. Food can also be
purchased on the day from various outlets.
Monies raised from the festival will benefit local clubs
including Rainford Rangers, Rainford Cricket Club,
Rainford Tennis Club and the 1st Rainford
Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association.
