Hey Everyone,
Greetings Fellow Legislative Warriors
Well the 2012 Legislative Session is quickly approaching, so it is time to start keeping an
eye on what Bills are being filed. The attached report is ONLY, I repeat ONLY a list of Bills
that I find interesting and some of you might find interesting.
These ARE NOT Bills that ABATE of Florida, Inc. is officially supporting or opposing. Only a
vote from the State Delegates can direct ABATE of Florida, Inc. to Officially take a stand
on any Bill.
You, of course, as private citizens of the Great State of Florida are free to contact your local
legislator and voice your support / opposition on any Bill or issue that you desire. I highly
encourage you to voice your opinions to your elected officials, many brave men and women
gave their lives so that you can have that right and privilege.
If you have an area of interest that you would like me to keep an eye on, I will be more than
happy to do that.

Term Limits: Proposes amendment of s. 15, Art. III & s. 4, Art VI & creation of provision in Art. XII
of State Constitution to increase length of terms of state senators to 6 years & state representatives to
4 years & limit state senators & state representatives to 12 consecutive years in office.

Funerals, Burials, and Memorial Services: Prohibits picketing or engaging in other protest activities
within specified distance of property line of location of funeral, burial, or memorial service for
certain persons.
HB 33 Rep. Ahern Dist. 51 (parts of Pinellas) Filed July 6, 2011
Traffic Control Signals: Requires traffic control signals to maintain certain signal intervals & display
durations based on approach speeds; provides that citation for specified violations shall be dismissed
if traffic control signal does not meet specified requirements; provides dates for intersections
to meet requirements.
