Serkan TEKİN. İstanbul’dan bir
fotoğrafçı. Alanı daraltırsak, çoğunlukla
sokak fotoğrafçısı.
Yıllardır film izlemek, müzik dinlemek,
kitap karikatür okumak vs. güzeldi.
Hayatı sanatla tanımak ve ona sanatla
tutunmak insanı yoğuruyordu. Fakat
öyle bir an geldi ki, içeriden bir dürtü, bu
tüketim iyi hoş ama bir şeyler üretmeli
dedi. İşte 7 sene önce, enteresan bir
şekilde içimdeki ses sanki bir vahiy gibi
‘Fotoğraf ’ dedi ve ben o sesi dinleyerek
ilk fotoğraf makinemi aldım. Fotoğrafa
başlama sürecim böyle ani bir kararla
oldu.
Fotoğraf makinemi aldığımdan itibaren
sokaklardaydım, ama kafam karışıktı.

For years, watching movies, listening
to music, reading books, cartoons etc.
getting to know life with art and holding
on to it, was nice. But there came a
moment when I said, an impulse from
within, that consumption should produce
something. 7 years ago, interestingly,
my inner voice said “Photograph” like
a revelation, and I listened to that voice
and bought my first camera. My starting
point to photography was with such a
sudden decision.
I was in the streets since I got my camera,
but firstly very confused.
