Dreams Come True
Local social enterprise company Daffodils Dreams has to be given a big storage space to sort out the appeal.
launched an Easter appeal to provide Easter gifts for Social workers and schools have been contacted for their
disadvantaged youngsters.
referrals and will distribute them to children before Easter”.
Daffodils Dreams ran a similar appeal at Christmas to
provide disadvantaged children with gift boxes on
Christmas Eve, and the appeal was widely supported by
both businesses and members of the public, bringing
Christmas cheer to hundreds of youngsters.
The organisation was set up two years ago to create
opportunities for children and their families who find
themselves living in hardship in the Wigan area. Daffodils
Dreams provided Easter gifts
in previous years via selected
schools to those in need, but
this year the appeal has widened
thanks to the number of bighearted
local businesses who
have again offered to help.
Maureen Holcroft from Poolstock,
who runs Daffodils Dreams, said:
“We have been lucky enough
Can you help? Eggs and other Easter-based gifts for
