Traveler Optimism on the Rise!

As the COVID-19 restrictions begin
to loosen, and more residents
receive their vaccinations,
expect more. More music. More
conventions and conferences. More
sporting events, fairs and festivals.
And more of the general sights and
sounds that make Louisiana so unique. The Louisiana
Office of Tourism is working hard to push Louisiana as
the go-to destination for travelers near and far.
Louisiana’s plan to bring back tourism in the state
is called “The Sunshine Plan,” a comprehensive and
targeted plan, driven by consumer
travel confidence. As people
become more confident and
eager to travel, “The Sunshine
Plan” is designed to boost traveler
confidence and attract visitors
ready to come to Louisiana.
Now, here’s the good news: recently
released tourism trends show that 84% of American
travelers report that they plan to travel within the next
six months. That’s up from 65% in mid-January. This is
