combines the history of Philosophy with the beauty of <strong>Athens</strong>.<br />

Ancient Greece was the birthplace of Western philosophical ethics;<br />

Socrates, Plato and Aristotle are considered to be instrumental in the<br />

continue on to the Philopappos Hill which has such a huge<br />

significance in Socrates life. It not only houses the prison in which he<br />

was held but also the Pnyx. The role of the Pnyx of Ancient <strong>Athens</strong> is<br />

as important to<strong>day</strong> is it was then; it is where the democratic ideals<br />

and principals where born. From the top of the hill the view to the<br />

Acropolis is magnificent.<br />

Make your way downhill via the pedestrian street full of <strong>small</strong> caffes<br />

and street vendors towards the Hadrian’s Arch and the temple of<br />

Olympian Zeus. Passing these awesome monuments continue your<br />

walk towards the Lyceum (the school Aristotle founded). On this<br />

beautifully laid out walk you will pass by landmarks of <strong>Athens</strong> –<br />

including the National Garden and the Zappeion grand hall.<br />
