Day 1 

Welcome to Athens 

Our staff will be waiting for you at the airport and will transfer 

you from the Athens airport, it is approximately a 45 minute 

drive to your hotel. 

Welcome to Athens, the historical capital of Europe. 

Welcome to the birthplace of democracy, arts, science and 

philosophy of western civilisation. Home of Plato, Socrates, 

Pericles, Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus Athens is one of the 

world’s oldest cities. Full of things to see and do, Athens is 

the first stop of this amazing trip.

Day 2 

Athens Sightseeing and “food walking tour” 

Today enjoy sightseeing in Athens. Your expert guide will give you the 

opportunity to fully understand the role of Athens in antiquity and 

through the ages. 

Your guide will reveal to you the secrets of the Acropolis & the 

Parthenon, the Temple of Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch and the 

Kallimarmaro Stadium, built of marble for the first modern 

Olympic Games in 1896. 

Experience the ancient wonders and relive the birthplace of 

democracy, twist and turn through the Plaka’s narrow streets and 

find ancient sites, cafes and shops full of history and character. 

After the visit to the Acropolis continue to the Acropolis 

Museum. A beautiful new museum (opened in 2009) with 

exceptional finds from the Acropolis. 

Afterwards delve into modern Athens and enjoy discovering the 

narrow streets of the city, stopping off at an old bakery, traditional 

café and souvlaki stall on the way to sample local delicacies and 

aperitifs.

Day 3 

Athens to Kalambaka 

Today set off North to the area of the majestic Meteora (town of 

Kalambaka). The World Heritage listed Meteora is an extraordinary 

place and one of the most visited in all of Greece. The massive 

pinnacles of smooth rock could be the setting for a futuristic 

science-fiction tale, or an ancient one. 

Check in to your hotel, take the opportunity to walk through the 

picturesque town. 

Afternoon visit to a local distillery. Family owned – taste the local 

wines and “tsipouro” (the Greek equivalent to Grappa). 

Dinner tonight is at a traditional small restaurant where the Greek 

hospitality and the local tastes are highlights.

Day 4 

Visit the Meteora monasteries and town of 

Metsovo 

When you awaken to see the awe-inspiring rock formations 

unfold before your eyes, you will easily understand why we call 

this place Meteora, which means “suspended in the heavens 

above.” Today we will climb above the charming mountain 

villages of Kastraki and Kalambaka to visit two of the six 

surviving Monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO world heritage site 

and one of the most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox 

monasteries in the world. See how the monks live today and 

enter some of the most captivating Byzantine basilicas in 

Greece. 

Free time for lunch. 

In the afternoon set off to the picturesque town of Metsovo. 

One of the prettiest mountain villages of Greece – known for its 

local cheese with a distinct flavor ; and traditional Greek cuisine.

Day 5 

Kalambaka to Delphi 

Pie making and cooking 

Today a drive south to Delphi. Check in to your hotel and set off 

to the beautiful port town of Galaxidi (about 30 minutes from 

Delphi). 

The prettiest resort along the Gulf of Corinth, little Galaxidi 

curves around a seafront hillock, with narrow cobblestone 

streets connecting the well-sheltered harbours to either side. 

The older harbour was a major shipbuilding centre during the 

19th century, a prosperous era when the town acquired its fine 

crop of stone mansions. 

A pie making cooking class today at Galaxidi, hosted by a local 

the cooking class brings to life the culture of the area as it is 

experienced by preparing food together. Enjoy the wonderful 

experience and the hospitality of the host.

Day 6 

Nafplion [sightseeing Delphi] 

Today, in the morning enjoy the sightseeing of Ancient Delphi, probably the 

ancient worlds most famous oracle. 

The site is at the foot of the mountain; the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of 

Delphi, here we start our walk. Passing by the Castalia Spring we will visit 

the archaeological site and view the monument of the Argive Kings, the 

treasury of the Athenians, the Athenian Stoa, the Polygonal Wall, the 

monument of Platea and the Temple of Apollo. The site is very large and 

there is a lot to see including the famous oracle where in ancient times 

people believed they would learn what their future held. 

Enjoy the views from the site, they are incredible – the setting is so 

impressive that in ancient times it was considered the navel of the world. 

After walking the site we will visit the museum. The Delphi museum has 

spectacular exhibits including the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the 

Naxian Sphinx, the Statue of Antinoos the metopes of the Athenian 

treasury and the famous bronze Charioteer. It is well worth visiting the 

museum as the exhibits complement what we saw at the site and allow us 

to get a better understanding of the role Delphi played in antiquity. 

After a wonderful local lunch set off south to the town of Nafplion. 

Overnight at the charming seaside town of Nafplion, where you will enjoy 

views of its Venetian Castle, and experience the towns’ sophisticated 

atmosphere.

Day 7 

Nafplion 

Sightseeing Epidaurus 

Wine Tasting in Nemea 

Today the tour continues with a great day of sites and wines ! 

Set off in the morning to the Epidaurus site to visit the remarkable 

ancient theater of Epidaurus and the healing sanctuary of Asclepius, 

God of Medicine. 

A most important region in southern Greece for the production of red 

wines is Nemea; it is considered the crown jewel of the new Greek 

wine industry. Here the Agiorghitiko grape (Saint George) is used and 

produces wines famous for their deep red color, complex aroma and 

long, velvety palate. Visit one of the best local wineries, known for its 

excellent quality wines, for a wine tasting experience and light lunch. 

The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure in Nafplion town where you 

will find lovey seafood tavernas for your dinner at leisure.

Day 8 

Fly to Mykonos 

Today setoff from Nafplion to Athens airport for a short 

flight to stunning Mykonos, famous for its brightly whitewashed 

cubed houses, jet setting visitors and wonderful 

nightlife.. 

After checking in to your hotel , transfer into Mykonos town 

for a walk of the narrow streets of this world-famous port. 

Enjoy local tastes on the walk and get a better 

understanding of the local life. 

Amazing food walking tour (private – pick up from 

Hotel) 

Experience the essence of the beautiful town of 

Mykonos. On this leisurely walk through the narrow 

alleyways of “Chora” you will see the iconic 

windmills, little Venice and gain insight into the daily 

life of the island. The culinary exploration will take 

you to local café, bakery and family ran restaurant. 

Taste the delicious local produce and understand the 

Cycladic culture. 


Day 9 

Excursion to Delos 

Today in the morning a highlight visit to the Unesco world heritage site 

of Delos island. 

Start off this lovely tour from your hotel where you will be 

picked up and transferred to the port. The island of Delos is 

about nine miles off the coast of Mykonos and the boat ride 

there will take about 30 minutes. Enjoy the time on board and 

bask in the sun, feel the sea breeze and take in the Aegean blue 

sea. 

The site you will visit today is one of the most impressive in 

Greece with an incredible history; the sacred island of Delos. 

The mythical birthplace of twins Apollo and Artemis, splendid 

Ancient Delos was a shrine turned sacred treasury and 

commercial center. Your guide will make this site “come alive”, 

the remains of the city are so clear that you easily see how the 

ancients lived and the city thrived. On Delos, which is Unesco 

World Heritage Site, the excavations are among the most 

extensive in the Mediterranean; and it is a site where the 

ongoing work is still taking place. 

The boat ride back to Mykonos will give you time to relax before 

returning and ending this unique experience. 

In the afternoon enjoy sitting by the pool of your hotel and later maybe 

explore the famous island nightlife. 


Day 10 

Santorini 

Dinner at Oia 

Today travel south from the island of Mykonos to the island of Santorini. 

A boat journey across the beautiful Aegean sea. As you approach 

Santorini from the water, it's hard not to be awed by the sheer cliffs 

that soar above a turquoise sea, by the fact that you're sailing in an 

immense crater of a drowned volcano and that before you lies an island 

shaped by an ancient eruption. 

Arrive in Santorini and transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is at 

leisure. Take the time to explore the island, considered one of the top 

destinations worldwide. Amazing views, unique landscapes are the key 

highlights of the island. 

Tonight transfer from your hotel to the beautiful village of Oia (the most 

photographed of all Santorini) to enjoy a walk of the town and dinner at 

a local restaurant.

Day 11 

Santorini 

Sunset cruise 

This morning is free for you to enjoy the spectacular island of 

Santorini. 

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a very special cruise with 

dinner onboard a Catamaran. Enjoy a beautiful afternoon out 

on the water sailing the Santorini caldera. See the one of the 

most beautiful sunsets. This small group semi-private cruise 

includes sailing, swimming and a wonderful meal on board. 

The yachts includes ample space including hammock style nets 

on the bow for you to sunbathe and good space in the main 

cabin for when the sun gets to be too much. The captain will 

set anchor at a spectacular spot and your crew will prepare a 

wonderful meal for you. Enjoy the awe inspiring views of the 

caldera and swim in the Aegean turquoise waters.

Akrotiri excavations and an amazing cooking 

class … 

Visit the the pre-historic settlement of Akrotiri, one of the 

most important and well-preserved civilizations in the 

Mediterranean, which was covered by the ashes of the great 

volcanic eruption of 1600 B.C – often call the Pompei of 

Greece. 

After the visit to Akrotiri, enjoy a highlight of this trip and on 

your last day come together with your fellow travelers to 

enjoy the Santorini cooking class. At a beautiful venue, and 

led by professional chefs, learn the secrets of Greek cooking.
