Pentecost was one of the
holy holidays instituted

Jesus has not left us alone
in the world; He has sent us
the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures
foretold of this event in
the festival of Pentecost, and
have so many others of these
solemn festivals and holy
convocations in God’s calendar
for all time and we shall
profit immensely if we shall
study and be acquainted with
Adeboye donates transformer
to Kwara community

THE Gbagede Amoyo
Community, Ilorin,
Kwara State was recently
thrown into wild jubilation as
the General Overseer of the
Redeemed Christian Church
of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch
Adejare Adeboye donated a
500 kva electric transformer
to the community.
The entire community went
into ecstatic jubilation at the
arrival of the transformer.
Many prayed, many composed
songs euloging the Ifewara-born
influetial Daddy
G.O., Adeboye. They composed
songs designed to
praise the man who bailed
them out of perpetual darkness.
They have lived without
electricity for several years
and had to express joy on the
sight of the transformer in the
community.
The gesture, on behalf of
the General Overseer, Adeboye
by senior members of the
church in Ilorin the Kwara
State capital, was part of the
church social responsibility,
CSR, programme of the
church.
In RCCG, it is a tradition
that the church Corporate Social
Responsibility has its root
in Christianity and the church
is meant to be an example for
the world to follow and not
for they are stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an
evil report of the land which

eats up the inhabitants thereof;

fellowship with Him... in His
sufferings, death and burial
through water baptism – Phil.
3:10, Rom. 6:1-4.

LACDRAFEST 2021 with 'A Father's Heart'

Adewale Martins has unveiled
the third edition of
archdiocesan Culture and
Drama Festival, LACDRAF-
EST with the theme: 'With a
Father’s Heart.'
The Director of Social
Communications, Rev. Fr. Anthony
Godonu unveiling the
festival at the Centre for Media
Development, Ojota, Lagos
said this year's theme is
in line with Pope Francis’ declaration
of 2021 as the year
of St. Joseph.
Explaining the rationale
behind LACDRAFEST,
Godonu explained that the
festival was conceived primarily
as a means of promoting
the use of drama and culture
as a tool for evangelism
among the youths and members
of the Catholic Actors
and Entertainers Association
of Nigeria, CAEAN from the
various parishes in the Catholic
Archdiocese of Lagos.

nity Elders Synod has
commended Chief Government
Ekpomupolo, alias Tompolo,
for what they described
as his fight against injustice in
the Niger Delta.
The elders while commending
Tompolo on his 50th birthday
anniversary, described
him as a selfless leader and
great asset to the people of the
region.
In a statement by the Chairman,
Fredrick Ingla, Vice
Chairman, Capt. William
Mienbra, Secretary General,
Mr. Calabar Sunboy, Public
Relations Officer, PRO, Mr.
Henry Agediga, and Chief
Council Guwor, Olotu of Ogulagha
kingdom, the community
leaders recalled how the
former Commander of the
Movement for the Emancipation
of the Niger Delta, MEND,
saved their community from
communal crisis.
“Tompolo is a stabilizing
factor in Ogulagha. Our
prayer is that God should give
him more wisdom and understanding
to carry on in his service
to mankind.. He is a selfless
leader and philanthropist
who is always fighting for the
interest of his people.
“When our community was
in crisis and in great need of

educated, it becomes a lot easier
to make an appreciable investment
that is capable of
taking them out of poverty.
She said: “The economic
fallout from events like the
market crash in 2018, economic
recession in 2016, and
the pandemic in 2020 resulted
in financial security risks
for this age group. Many of

peace, Tompolo came to our
rescue and brokered a truce
which ushered in the prevailing
peace the people are enjoying
today.
“As Tompolo is celebrating
his 50th birthday, we join his

FUPRE, ACF sign pact for 2021 Petroleum Industry
Awards

Atiba University (AU),
Oyo, Oyo State, has
been granted full operational
licence by the National
Universities Commission
(NUC).
This was communicated to
the Proprietor of the AU, Chief
James Ojebode, in a letter
dated April 8, 2021 signed by
Mrs. Lydia T. Imoroa, the Director,
Inspection and Monitoring,
for the Executive Secretary
of the NUC.
The statement said, “Having
fulfilled all the requirements
laid down in Educational
(National Minimum

Nigeria 2004 and satisfactorily
