LARNED — Raymond G. Dufford, 86, died Jan. 3 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 15, 1917,<br />
at Pawnee Rock, the son of Elmer and Waty Dickey Dufford. A lifetime resident of Pawnee and Barton counties, he was a<br />
farmer. Survivors include two daughters. Cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Memorials are suggested to<br />

Elsie Vainer 1906-<strong>2004</strong><br />
MARION — Elsie Vainer, 97, died Jan. 3 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. She was born Jan. 15, 1906, at<br />
Herington. She married Joseph Vainer. He died in 1960. A resident of the Tampa and Pilsen communities most of her life, she<br />
was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Marion County. Survivors include one son, Jim Vainer of Great<br />
Bend; one daughter, Virginia Means of Napa, Calif.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7:<strong>30</strong> p.m.<br />
today at Zeiner Funeral Home in Pilsen. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Nepomucene Church, Holy Family<br />

Ora Kenneth Hudson 1918-<strong>2004</strong><br />
PAWNEE ROCK — Ora Kenneth Hudson, 85, died Jan. 3 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born in rural Greenwood<br />
County, the son of Harvey H. and Nille Mae Osborn Hudson. He married Emma Jane Bruce July 22, 1939, at Cottonwood Falls.<br />
She died Aug. 2, 2003. A resident of Pawnee Rock since 1996, coming from Hanston, he was a retired self-employed mechanic.<br />
He attended Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall of Larned. Survivors include one sister, Avis Fern Werner of Rogers, Ark. He was<br />
preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned with<br />
Butch T. Espinosa officiating. Burial will be at Pawnee Rock Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the<br />

Dale H. Stinson 1915-<strong>2004</strong><br />
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Dale H. Stinson, 88, died Jan. 2 at St. Louis. He was born June 21, 1915, at Milton, the son of Ralph and<br />
Margaret Stinson. He married Naida Sept. 2, 1938, at Topeka. She preceded him in death. A resident of Topeka, coming from<br />
Wilson, he was owner and operator of the Wilson World Newspaper until 1954 and Wilson postmaster, retiring in 1980. Survivors<br />
include one son, Terry Stinson of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Jean Naney of St. Louis; one brother, Lee Stinson of Dodge City;<br />
three granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. Memorial service will be at a later date at Wilson Methodist Church with<br />
inurnment at Wilson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Wilson Methodist Church, P.O. Box 459, Wilson KS 67490.<br />

Barry Lee Pruner 1948-2003<br />
LaMESA, Calif. — Barry Lee Pruner, 55, died Dec. 26 at his home in LaMesa. He was born Dec. 27, 1948, at Stafford, the son of<br />
Lee and Rosie Heyen Pruner. He was a 1967 graduate of Ellinwood High School and attended Fort Hays State University. He<br />
married Kathy Bills in the early 1970s. She died in the 1980s. He later married Susan L. Clinton Nov. 3, 1984. A resident of San<br />
Diego, Calif., since 1970, coming from Ellinwood, he was an engineer for SBC Communications for <strong>30</strong> years. He was a U.S.<br />
Navy veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife of the home; one stepson, Jeffrey Clinton of San<br />
Diego; and one sister, Susan Curtiss of Ellinwood. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Pruner. Military graveside<br />
service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego. A local remembrance gathering will be at 4 p.m.<br />
Jan. 11 at the home of Joe and Susan Curtiss, 315 E. 1st, Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to Center for Basic Research at
