OUR 2020 HIGHLIGHTS
JANUARY
We picked our 5 finalists for our Greenwood
Chevrolet Extra Mile Giveaway! Anyone who
donates $260 a year qualifies. We want to
Congratulate Russ Osman of Trumbull Metropolitan
Housing Authority for winning the 2019 Equinox!
We were joined again by our Centennial Presenting
Sponsors to announce our record breaking 2019
Centennial Campaign. We proudly raised $3,454,454
in 2019 celebrating Generations of Impact!
FEBRUARY
MARCH
Our United Way staff officially moved back in to our
offices at 255 Watt Street. Renovations started in
September of 2019, and we were able to settle back
into the new space in March of 2020.
As everything around us shut down, our United Way
went into response mode. On April 25 we started
our Satury-Day of Caring. We went 8 weeks straight
until we moved to monthly.
APRIL
MAY
Since all of our traditional in-person events were canceled, we had to get
creative. In May we held a virtual Annual Meeting sponsored by Chemical
Bank, now TCF Bank. We want to thank their leadership, especially our
Board Member Michael Schrock for allowing us to conduct the event this way.
JUNE
In June and July, we concentrated on serving those with our Satur-Day of
Caring and assisting the Youngstown City Schools with food distribution.
