Climate
changemakers
The Leys Primary & Nursery School
To address the climate crisis,
everyone needs to understand why it
is happening and what can be done to
mitigate its impacts. In recent years,
there’s been a growing movement to
formalise climate and environmental
education for everyone. Our students
played a small part in making this
change happen by participating in the
World’s Largest Lesson’s Climate
Changemakers Campaign, where they
reflected in 100 words or less why
learning about climate change
matters to them.
Stylistically very different, but no less
impactful, are the accompanying
climate change graffiti slogans created
by Year 6 pupils.
At the Leys Primary School, we are passionate about helping our children to develop an international mind-set alongside an
awareness of their own local identity. We strive to provide them with the knowledge, skills and values that will enable
them to play an active role in their community, and work with others to make our planet more fair and sustainable.
