Emily J. Gilman was prominent<br />
towards <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> nineteenth<br />
century and beginning <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
twentieth. Her work was exhibited at<br />
<strong>the</strong> Paris Exhibition <strong>of</strong> 1900 and at<br />
St. Louis in 1904.<br />
