Considering the fact that the
creation of these castings is such
an organic process, it was difficult
to generate a script that could
recreate digitally what we had
created physically. We mainly
utilized the ability to drape surfaces
in rhino and grasshopper, these
drapes could then act as a model
for the appropriate castings. In the
future we would like to explore if
semi “organic” ripples could be
generated through grasshopper,
rather than hand-drawn. It is
possible to create a model of a
casting through grasshopper, but
at this time it would make more
sense for a person to individually
model it rather than creating a
script for it.
