Fans make case for Erica
When Erica Nlewedim got booted out of the Big Brother
Naija Lockdown edition, there were some who felt she
was hard done by. One, she was a staple for many,
particularly, as a result of her romance with the billionaire
kid and fellow Housemate, Kiddwayya. Perhaps, maybe
the duo pushed it a little too far but they were there in
the open for all to see and no under-the-duvet stuff.
She was the villain and her accomplice was her lover.
She wasn’t a saint and all could see just that.
All other Housemates were walking on the fringes
and appeared not to have stepped out of line until the
reunion came on board. Hell was let loose. Suddenly
nobody seemed to be all plum. Sex was for free in
the house as some revelations have confirmed.
Maybe more still on the way but Erica was the one
put out to dry.
“Big Brother actually did Erica dirty. It was only
her dirty linen they showed us. Meanwhile,
people were fornicating left, right and centre,” a
blog, Theishblob writes on their timelime.
This is after the news of Katrina admitting
she had a quickie with Praize and the Holier
than thou Brighto getting a head from
Dorathy. But during the show it was Erica
that was always on the spot.
“Erica deserves an apology for being
portrayed as the only Housemate that
lacked self control,” another blogger,
Ijeomadaisy observed.
Olorisupergal cried out, “BBNaija
lovers, when are we staging a protest
against Kayode? Referring to Laycon
who got Erica disqualified.
“I just feel every fanbase should
apologize to Erica and Kidd for all the
names they were called on this internet
like Cumrica, Fingerica, moreover their
favourites were doing the worse,” says a fan.
The reunion has been explosive as it appears the
Housemates are all up to settle old scores and they are
letting down their hairs since there’s no prize in the
offing.
How COVID-19 lockdown turned

It is no more news that famous artiste and talent
manager, Oyin Ameen has embraced music video
directing as his new calling but what many people don’t
know is how he made the switch from managing artistes
to shooting videos for them.
According to the music executive, who currently
manages the affairs of famous music producer, Krizbeatz,
the lockdown was a blessing in disguise as he never
expected that what he started as a hobby would turn out to
become a full time job.
“I don’t see myself stopping; I love it. I think it’s my
calling, I love artistes and talent development generally. I
just started athlete management as well. I have two kids
that I take to the stadium every weekend. I am planning
to take them to Europe. It’s something I love. Beyond
money, I love to see people grow.”
He’s looking forward to shooting videos for Krizbeatz’s
next project: “It is star-studded and he is putting a huge
budget behind it, I believe after the project, I am going to
be real big time,” he said.

akes solo gig to Terra Culture Arena
Afrobeat musician, Made Kuti is
basking in the success of his recent
debut headline gig at the The New
African Shrine to set up a special
showcase event tagged ‘An Evening With
Made Kuti.’ The exclusive event is
scheduled for Friday, July 2 at the fit-forpurpose
Terra Culture Arena, Victoria
Island, Lagos.
For his second solo headline gig, Made
gets to introduce his own band, The
Movement to a colourful audience
comprising his growing young army of
fans, music connoisseurs, brands,
diplomats among others.

Evening With Made Kuti’ is made
possible in partnership with Legend Extra
Stout, Mainstreet Capital, Ministry of

The grandson of Fela Kuti and son of
Femi Kuti gave a foretaste of what to
expect in April, when he performed his
first show at The New African Shrine
alongside his newly-formed band, The
Movement. Together, they performed
songs such as Made’s single, ‘Free Your
Mind’ and his stellar rendition of Fela’s
‘Trouble Sleep.
Feels good having
one of the biggest
bums in Nollywood

Nollywood actress, Didi Ekanem has repeated
time and time again that she would rather
be noticed or recognised for her talent rather than
for her big bum which always seems to get in the
way. But belying her secret wish is the smugness that
lights up her face when she gets compliments over the
Mother Nature’s gift.
“It’s a good feeling and a wonderful one,” she
had beamed when asked how she feels having
one of the biggest bums in Nollywood. “But I
won’t lie to you, as much as I love it so much,
I just wish people would focus more on my
talent than my bum. All the concentration
out there is on my bum, not my talent. I
would honestly wish people to see me as
a talented actress not a sexy one. But my
bum is not allowing people to see me
deep down, to see the person and the
talent,” she quickly added.
On whether it is real or not, “People
always say this whenever they see my bum.
Last time I was on Linda Ikeji, I read
comments people made and there were more
questions whether my bum was real or worked on.
Some said it is made of plastic but you are here now
and can see there is no artificial embellishment or
augmentation. My bum is real, it’s like 101% real, I
was born this way, I was born like this. I’ve had it
since I was in JS1, in fact that was when I started
noticing it. Then I never loved it, if I have to tell you
the things that I’ve gone through because of my bum,
you won’t believe it.”

Zimbabwe’s Afropop artiste, Tendai
Wayne Mukangairwa, popularly
known as Wayne F.O.G, has declared his
collaboration with Nigerian artistes as a
dream come true.
“When the opportunity came, I was
ready to spread my wings and I’d prayed
for it. With thanks to my label, Blksmith
Records, for paving the way and making
my dreams a reality. My label believes in
my ability to be successful and has given
me all the motivation I need to get to
where I am today. I’m blessed,” he said.
Mukangairwa, who is presently in
Nigeria, spoke of what attracted him to
the country. “Nigeria is the home of
Afrobeats, the music I love so much,” he
said, “I came to pay homage to some
great people on the scene here like
Solshynebeatz, Soft and Phanda Boy.”
