Scene 1
Setting- an otherworldly frozen lake in Simonéé.
Time- 4 rth December 3081, 28pm
It is very dark. Sophia the human and Cóvenéab the alien walk circles around each other.
Cóvenéab: So, when you were a baby, you had an operation to look like an Aethling?
Sophia: Yes.
Cóvenéab: Why would I believe you?
Sophia: I don’t know.
Cóvenéab: Why would you believe that?
Tears begin to form in Cóvenéab’s eyes.
Cóvenéab (through the tears): I want so badly to trust you…
Sophia (sighing): But you don’t.
Sophia starts to cry now.
Sophia: I miss home. I miss my parents. I miss my sister.
Cóvenéab sits down beside the frozen water.
Cóvenéab (to himself): Where are my parents.
Gunshots fire up in the distance.
Cóvenéab: And now the war starts again. The West vs East. The thieves of homes and families. It’s like
when the Aethlings attacked us.
Sophia sits beside him.
Sophia: My family. Then my bear.
She pauses.
Sophia: It will be all right.
Cóvenéab: No, it won’t.
Scene 2
Setting- A tree in Simonéé
Time- 5 th December 3081 7am
Cóvenéab and Sophia are nearing the top of the tree, climbing quickly.
Cóvenéab (grunting): Nearly there. Berries await!
A sikerelafaídh (a sqirrel-like creature in Simonéé) crawls up in front of Sophia.
Sophia: Hi little sikerela-something. Cóvenéab? I forgot what it is again.
Cóvenéab: Aw, Sophia, it’s like the easiest thing to say! Sikerelafaídh!
Sophia: Right, sikerelafaídh. It’s a bit like a squirrel. Veverita.
Cóvenéab: What’s a Veve…
Sophia: Romanian for Squirrel.
Cóvenéab: Romanian! I thought you spoke Englusch like me!

Sophia: It’s a language I learned when I was… 3.
Cóvenéab: But that’s an Aeth language!
Sophia: I’m from Ear-
Sophia gasps. Cóvenéab gasps and falls out of the tree.
Sophia: Cóvenéab!
Cóvenéab lands on his feet and runs away. Sophia hurries down the tree.
Sophia: Wait! Cóvenéab! Wait! Come back!
She reaches the ground running and follows Cóvenéab off stage.
Scene 3
Setting- A hollow bush upper right stage. The rest of the stage is taken up by patio. Cóvenéab’s friend,
Ada walks up from lower left stage to the hollow bush.
Time- 7 th December 3081 8am
Ada (to himself): I haven’t been here for ages.
The light gets slowly brighter for sunrise. Cóvenéab runs on stage from left wing.
Cóvenéab (gasping for breath): Ada! Aethling- right after me.
Cóvenéab runs passed Ada and dives into the bush.
Ada: What!?
Cóvenéab: Come on! Quickly!
Ada pauses, then runs in after Cóvenéab.
Sophia runs onto set from left wing, looks around. Then runs across the stage.
Cóvenéab and Ada can be heard talking from the bush.
Cóvenéab: I think she’s gone now.
Ada: Who was that?
Cóvenéab: The Aethling. She says her name is Sophia.
Ada: You know my name, Ada, is actually an Aeth-name. It’s probably the only decent one.
Cóvenéab: Why do they come up with such weird names. I hear they actually call Englusch English!
Ada: English!?
Cóvenéab: I know. Aethlings are crazy.
The light darkens. A cloud has come over them. A light breeze makes the leaves on the bush shake. The
sound of raindrops can be heard.
Ada: Now can you tell me what’s going on?
Cóvenéab: It’s all the war. Me and Sophie were separated from our families- well- her bear. Don’t ask me.
She claimed to have had an operation when she was a baby to make her look like an Aethling. Don’t ask me
about that either. I wanted to trust her, but then I found out she was an Aethling.
Ada: So she lied to you?
They both can be heard shivering.
Ada: When did it get cold?

Cóvenéab: When did it start raining?
Scene 4
Setting- A small tree centre stage. A bare landscape around. Sophia is sitting under the tree, collecting
her thoughts.
Time- 8 th December 3081 1pm
Sophia (to herself): I am an idiot. I had an operation to make me look like an alien! My worst lie ever!
She groans and throws her head into her hands.
Sophia: And now I’ve lost Cóvenéab. I’m stuck on my own on this stupid planet. I need to talk to someone!
She sits in silence for thirty seconds. Then she perks up. She has an idea. But her thoughts are disturbed by
an alien toddler walking up to her.
Toddler: Aethling? I’m Lávas.
Sophia (gently): Yes?
Lávas: Do you know where big brother is?
Sophia: Who’s your brother?
Lávas: Covy!
Sophia: Cóvenéab?
Lávas: Yeah! Yeah! Big brother Covy!
Sophia: I know a Cóvenéab. Nine years old?
Lávas: Millions of years old!
Sophia: I’m looking for a Cóvenéab as well. Is there anybody with you?
Lávas: No-oh. I’s on me’s own.
Sophia: Ok then. I think I have a plan. It probably won’t work. But maybe Cóvenéab could solve it. He’s a
great puzzle-
Lávas: Yez yez, that’s him!
Sophia: The plan is not foolproof. Don’t get your hopes up.
Scene 5
Setting- A Simonéé forest. Trees covering stage except for lower centre. Cóvenéab and Ada stand in lower
centre.
Time- 9 th December 3081 4pm-
Ada hears a tinkling sound.
Ada: What’s that?
Cóvenéab: What?
Ada runs into the forest. Cóvenéab pauses and then follows. They return a few seconds later. Ada is holding
a wind chime.
Ada: What’s this doing in the forest? Oh! There’s something written on it. Cóvenéab. Meet me at the valley
of Lasenbúrg. I have a surprise. Hurry.
Cóvenéab: It’s addressed to me? What a risk. Anyone could have found it.

Scene 6
Setting- An otherworldly frozen lake.
Time- 9 th December 3081 4pm-
Sophia and the Lávas are waiting on the edge of the lake, Sophia’s legs hugged up in her arms.
Sophia: Oh, please, please let him notice. Please, Please.
Lávas: He’ll come. I know he will.
They hear an explosion. Sophia looks offstage right.
Sophia: Bomb! Bomb! Quick!
She ushers the Lávas offstage left.
Sophia: We need to stay here.
Soldiers walk onto the stage from offstage right. Then run off the other side.
Soldier 1 (offstage): What are you doing here, young Aethling?
Sophia (offstage, trembling): Leave us alone!
Soldier 2 (offstage): And, little boy?
Lávas (forcefully): GO AWAY!
The soldiers step back onstage.
Soldier 1: Well you have a lot of spirit. Come on.
Sophia takes out a piece of paper and scribbles something down.
Lávas: Oh! Mr. Soldier-person. Could you please spare us? We’re innocent, you know. We don’t like being
captured.
Sophia finishes scribbling.
Soldier 2: You’re coming with us.
The soldiers drag Sophia and the Lávas across the stage. Sophia lets a piece of paper slip onto the floor.
Scene 7
Setting- An otherworldly frozen lake.
Time- 9 th December 3081 11pm
Ada and Cóvenéab walk onstage.
Ada: Whoever it is should be here.
Cóvenéab: Well why should we trust an anonymous wind chime?
Ada: Hold on.
Ada bends down and picks up a piece of paper.
Ada (reading): purteaced. lueb nimurof.
Cóvenéab: What?
Ada: purteaced. lueb nimurof.
Cóvenéab: Ah, an anagram. Purteacd. What’s purteacd?
Ada: We-

Cóvenéab: Blank. Blue Uniform. What’s purteacd?
Ada: Em-
Cóvenéab: Ah, they were captured by soldiers in blue uniforms. That’s it. We’re infiltrating the East half of
the world.
Ada: The East half!? But we’re as West as West is!
Cóvenéab: Then we’ll have our work cut out for us. The West half wears green uniforms. And the East half
wear blue. So if whoever it was was captured by someone in blue uniforms, they were obviously captured
by the Eastern soldiers.
Ada: They have a base about five kilometres away!
Cóvenéab: Oh! That works too.
Scene 8
Setting- A small room made out of toy bricks and glue filled with boxes. Sophia and the Lávas are in
among the boxes.
Time- 10 th December 3081 1am
Sophia: Now what.
Lávas: Now… we escape!!!
Sophia: Huh, the soldier was right, you do have a lot of spirit.
Lávas: I’m serious. These walls are literally made of toy bricks and glue. I have these bricks back home!
Sophia: But the rest of the building is made out of real bricks and cement.
Lávas: So? There’s such thing as doors that aren’t locked.
Sophia: There’s also such thing as guards.
Lávas: There’s also such thing as invisibility.
Sophia: There’s not.
Lávas: Yes. There. Is!
The Lávas snaps his fingers. Nothing happens.
Scene 9
Setting- Outside a building made out of bricks. Towards the top and right it’s made of toy bricks. Two
guards, one with a hammer are guarding the door stage left.
Time- 10 th December 3081 1 am
Ada sneaks in from left stage, around the building and to the side of it. Cóvenéab follows.
Guard 1: How long’s left in our shift?
Guard 2: Four minutes.
Ada (whispering): Four minutes.
Cóvenéab: I know. Shhh!
Guard 1 sneaks around the edge.
Guard 1: Boo!
Ada and Cóvenéab scream and run offstage.

Guard 1: Ok, that was easy.
The guard walks back to the door. After a minute Ada and Cóvenéab sneak back on to try again. They look
up at the top of the building. Their eyes open wide. Ada keeps pointing at the toy bricks, and then miming
using a hammer. Cóvenéab mimes the hammer and then shrugs his shoulders questioningly. Ada points at
roughly where the guards are and mimes picking their pocket and then using a hammer.
Guard 2: I really feel like something suspicious is going on.
Cóvenéab pulls his hands towards him. Ada understands, and they tip-toe of stage, disappearing from view
just as Guard 2 walks around. Guard 2 turns around, shrugs his shoulder and goes back to his position.
Ada (loudly): That was close.
Guard 1 runs after Ada. Cóvenéab sprints around from the back of the building, steals Guard 2’s hammer,
then sprints away of right stage. Guard 2 runs after him. A few seconds later, the hammer comes spinning
onto the stage. Ada slides in from behind the building, Guard 1 right after him. He picks it up and throws it
at the toy bricks. Some of them fall down. Leaving a hole.
Ada: If you’re in there, jump!!!
Lávas (from the room): Big brother Covy?
Ada: Lávas?
Lávas: Tha’ me!
Cóvenéab runs onstage. Guard 2 seizes him. Guard 1 seizes Ada. Sophia leaps down from building. Lávas
jumps after her and she catches him.
Cóvenéab: Lávas? AETHLING?
Lávas: Covy!
Lávas attempts to run at the guards, but Sophia holds him tight. Out of nowhere, a bomb lands in front of
them. The guards loosen their grip. Ada and Cóvenéab run away. Sophia runs away with Lávas in her hands.
The guards are left to diffuse the bomb.
Scene 10
Setting- a tree in Simonéé. Ada, Cóvenéab, Sophia and Lávas are sitting under it.
Time- 11 th December 3081 11pm
Cóvenéab: Your last chance to explain yourself.
Sophia: Ok. About two years ago, I fell asleep in my bed, but when I woke I was on this planet. I found a
cave. And lived with a bear for two years, until the war got too bad. He got killed by the soldiers. From both
sides. And then I had to find a new place to live. Then I met you. We were separated because you didn’t
trust me. Then I met Lávas, and we left messages for you. But then we were captured. And now we’re here.
And I finally found out why the room was made of toy bricks- because they’re really into interior design.
Ada: Really?
Sophia: Seriously. I asked the guards.
Cóvenéab: You asked the- the guards, who tried to kill us?
Sophia: No. The actual reason was Lávas here. He told them it was lucky. They’re very gullible.
Cóvenéab smiles at his younger brother.
Ada: And now, we’ve got to keep moving.

Scene 11
Setting- an otherworldly frozen lake. Cóvenéab, Ada, Sophia and Lávas are sitting at the edge.
Time- New Year’s Eve 3081 ten seconds minute to midnight.
Cóvenéab looks at his watch.
Cóvenéab: Ten, nine
Everyone joins in.
All: Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Cóvenéab claps and hugs his brother.

Interests: Helping her friends (The Runaways),
Backstory. Ran away from her sociopath father (Derek Ericson) when she found the “Telegem” and he tried
to kill her.
A-Z: Haley starts off running away from her father. She finds new friends and runs away with them. When
they arrive at a village to get food, her evil father and his troops find her, They take her in, butThen she
breaks out and uses the orb to turn her father
Emma (Runaway):
Full Name: Emma Reagan
Age: 16
Occupation: Runaway
Personality: Kind, Friendly, Gullible
Interests: Singing
Backstory: Runaway from her abusing mother and found Haley.
Anthony:
Full Name: Anthony Lin-Manuel
Age: 18
Occupation: Runaway
Personality: Very Intelligent, Talkative
Interests: Reading, Maths
Backstory: He was left on the street when he was a baby, he was taken in by an abusive orphanage. He ran
away because the owner of the house tried to poison him

Backstory: When he and Michelle were young their parents passed away. Robert then ran into debt and is

Occupation:: Runaway, Roberts younger sister

Interests: Barbie Dolls
Backstory: When she and Robert were young their parents passed away. Robert then ran into debt and was
on the run with her.
Scene 1: Somewhere in a village in Ohio, 19 th of February 1978,
A caravan drives up into a small village, Haley walks out onto the mud underneath her. She looks around to
make sure the coast is clear. Her group of runaway friends wait quietly behind her.
Haley: (whispers) Coast is clear!
She signals for her friends to come out of the caravan. Haley walks into the village her friends following
close behind.
Haley: Stay out here and do not make a peep.
She walks into a shop and buys something. Mr. Ericson is hiding in the corner.
Haley: A loaf of bread, please.
Haley places a dollar on the table and the shopkeeper hands her a loaf.
Haley (Cont’d) Thank you, have a nice day!
She walks away before being greeted by Ericson.

Mr. Ericson: Well, well, well.
Haley turns around to face him.
Mr. Ericson (Cont’d): Look who we have here!
Haley: Father.
Mr. Ericson: Haley.
Mr. Ericson (cont’d): I believe you have something of mine.
Haley: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Mr. Ericson: Oh, I think you do, Child.
Haley Gulps. She is pinned against the wall by Mr. Ericson. She gasps for air.
Haley: I said I don’t know what you’re talking about!
Ericson Pulls out a gun and shoots a bullet right beside her head.
Mr. Ericson: Do you know now?
Haley: (gasping for air) I said I don’t know!
She kicks Ericson, takes his gun and pins him against the wall.
Mr. Ericson: You don’t have to do this, Child.
Haley: I do, for the love of the world.
Mr. Ericson: Haley, My daughter, why? Why did you run away from this world I gave you?
She lets go of him and backs away.
Mr. Ericson: I want to give you a world you deserve.
Haley: A world where everyone suffers. A world where you are king and they are slaves. A world that no
one deserves.

Mr. Ericson: I did this for you, Haley.
Haley Gulps, She looks away for a minute and then draws the gun from her belt.
Haley: And I’m doing this for the world.
Haley points the gun at him and puts her finger on the trigger, she is about to shoot when a group of 4 spies
barge in the shop door (stage left).
Spy 1: Think we were gonna let you kill our boss?!
Haley turns the gun towards them.
Spy 2: Hand over the Telegem and all of this will be over.
Haley: (smirking) Never in a million years.
The spies begin to fight with Haley. Dramatic music plays as Haley signals for the runaways to come in. The
runaways burst in stage right. They join the fight.
Spy 1: You never stop do you?
Spy 4 manages to hand-cuff Haley.
Spy 4: You’re coming with us, little girl!
Spy 4 brings Haley off stage left. Mr. Ericson begins to get up.
Mr. Ericson: Now, let’s see what information we can get out of her. Then, the Telegem is mine!
Mr. Ericson giggles sinisterly. The lights on the stage go red and begin to dim.
Scene 2: Ericson’s Interrogation room.
There is a table (centre stage) with Guard 1 and Guard 2 questioning Haley. Haley is strapped to a chair. The
light spotlights on them, the rest of the stage is dim.
Guard 1: So Haley where is it?
Haley: Wheres what?
Guard 2: The Telegem! Where is the Telegem!
Haley: I’m not going to tell you until you tell me where my friends are?
Guard 1: As you once said; Never in a million years, Haley!
Haley: (angry) What did you do to them?!

Haley attempts to get out of the chair, the straps stopping her.
Guard 2: Don’t get mad, little girl. We’ll tell you exactly where they are, once you spit out the coordinates
of the sacred orb.
Haley: Let me out.
Haley hears a scream for help coming from off-stage. It is her friend Emma from the runaways. She recognizes
the voice.
Haley: (to herself) Emma!
Haley’s eyes go wide when she hears her friend, Emma. She begins to shout.
Haley: What did you do to my friend?
The runaways march into the interrogation room from stage right along with 4 guards. The runaways look
hypnotized as they stand in a single-file line. They repeat the same words over and over again in synchronization.
Runaways [All]: Must find Telegem (x3)
Haley: (Angry) What did you do to them?!
Haley breaks out of the chair. She runs over to the runaways shouting their names.
Haley: Anthony! Michelle! Stay with me! Emma, it’s me! Come on!
She shakes them in fury.
Guard 1: Step away from the prisoners!
Guard 1 draws a spear from his back. He points it at Haley. Haley backs away with her hands in the air, she
trips and falls onto the ground.
Haley: (crying) please, please don’t!
Mr. Ericson appears from upstage.
Mr. Ericson: Let her be, I want her alive.
Haley: Dad?
Haley is immediately pulled away off stage left. The lights dim. Atmospheric music plays.

Scene 3: In the cage.
All 5 runaways are inside a hanging cage (centre stage). They are all fast asleep, except for Haley. Haley
searches her pockets for the Telegem.
Haley: (to herself) It has to be here somewhere.
Haley finds the Telegem orb in her back pocket.
Haley: Aha! I knew his silly body search wouldn’t work!
Haley closes her eyes as if to sense the magic inside the orb. Magic music begins to play as she places her
right thumb on Emma’s head to wake her up with magic.
Haley: Come on work!
Emma wakes up.
Emma: Where am I?
Haley shushes her. Haley then moves onto Anthony with the same gesture, then Michelle and then Robert.
Slowly but surely they all wake up, not hypnotized.
Anthony: I do not recognize our current location.
Haley: Of course you don’t, We were captured, hypnotized and taken here.
Anthony: Why? Did we do something wrong?
Emma: Yeah, did we?
Haley: No, my dad has it out for me and is trying to get this.
Haley draws the telegem out of her pocket.
Haley: The Telegem.
Michelle: What is it?
Michelle goes to touch it. Haley stops her.
Haley: Don’t touch it.
Robert: What does it do?
Haley: It can control unknowing minds.
Emma: Unknowing? Like us?
Haley: Well now you know about it, but if the gem is in the wrong hand’s, like my father’s, bad things happen.

Emma: Bad things? What could be worse than me having an abusing mother who tried to kill me?
Anthony: Or me being thrown onto the streets as a baby?
Haley: When I was a baby, my father used the orb to kill my mother.
The runaways look shocked.
Emma: I’m so sorry, Haley.
Haley: I’m just so worried as to what he could do to the world if he found it.
Michelle: Ow!
Michelle tugs at her hair.
Robert: What’s wrong?
Michelle: This hairpin is hurting me!
Robert: Oh! Don’t be such a cry baby! Here let me get it out.
Robert takes the hairpin out of Michelle’s hair
Michelle: Thanks
Haley: Wait, could I see that for a sec.
Robert hands Haley the pin. Haley fumbles at the lock with it and manages to open it.
Haley: Haha we’re free!
The runaways all get out of the cage. Guard to walks on from stage left. The runaways and run to stage
right before being stopped by Guard 2. They all turn to face Guard 2
Guard 2: And where do you think you’ll be going?
Haley: Oh nowhere in particular!
Haley takes out the orb and walks up to him. She puts her thumb to his forehead and he falls asleep on the
ground. The stage lights cut off.
Scene 4: The meeting room
A large meeting table is centre stage. 5 extras are sitting around the table. Mr. Ericson is at the top of the
table (upstage). The table is spotlighted.
Mr. Ericson: (Shouting) What do you mean my daughter escaped!
Extra 1: We’re sorry sir!

Mr. Ericson exits stage right in a huff. The extras chat away silently at the table. The full stage is lit up. The
runaways all enter from stage left.
Haley: Okay guys, we need stealth!
Emma: Got it!
The runaways are crawling past the meeting toward downstage right. Sneaky music plays.
Extra 3: Did you guys hear that?
Extra 2: What?
Extra 3: I don’t know.
Haley shushes the group as they walk further toward stage right. The light spotlight on the group. They
manage to get off stage and the lights cut.
Scene 5: Mr. Ericson’s Office
Mr. Ericson’s desk is in centre stage. The stage is fully lit up. The runaways come in from stage left and are
crawling past Mr. Ericson’s office.
Haley: Okay, the coast is clear!
Anthony: Does that mean we can stand up, ‘cause let me tell you crawling is not very comfortable.
They all stand up. They are walking toward stage right when Ericson comes in.
Mr. Ericson: Well Haley, fancy meeting you here. I see you brought your squad of misfits and loners with
you.
Haley: They’re my friends!
Mr. Ericson: Haley, just hand over the orb and this whole mess will be over with.
Haley: Never in a million years!
Haley kicks Mr. Ericson in the stomach. They begin to fight. Ericson pins haley to his desk. The orb falls out of
haley’s pocket. Mr. Ericson doesn’t notice. Michelle picks it up she looks at it. Re-enforcements come in. The
runaways begin to fight the guards.
Robert: Good I took those taekwondo lessons before my mom died!
Robert proceeds to kick a guard in the face. Michelle toches the orb. Immediately all the guards fall asleep.
Leaving just the runaways and Ericson. Haley pushes her father onto the floor.
Mr. Ericson: Haley Ericson! Don’t you dare push me!
Haley: (Cheekily) Sorry Dad!
Haley checks her pockets for the orb she realized that Michelle had it.

Haley: Michelle! The orb!
Michelle throws her the orb.
Haley catches it and puts her thumb on Ericsons forehead. Ericson falls straight asleep.
Emma: Is he dead?
Haley: No, but we have a few minutes to turn it back to good.
The runaways clap as haley holds the orb and sings a magic song.
Haley: (singing) Oolalahaeori
Ericson stands up. He runs toward Haley to hug her.
Ericson: Haley! You did it I’m back!
Haley smiles.

Tom punched Henry in the face and Henry fell to the ground. Tom jumped over Henry and started kicking
him towards the acid and kicked him into the acid
Tom thought Henry fell in but he was wrong. He walked away in triumph. Tom was about to walk out of the
warehouse but Henry grabbed Tom’s arm and flipped Tom over henry onto the ground ( like what hulk does
to loki in avengers assemble and to thor in thor ragnorok )
T: ow, when did you become so good at fighting?
Tom said in a beaten voice
H: well it all happe-
Tom jumps to his feet and kicks henry in the nose and accidentally breaks his nose. Henry then falls to the
ground
H: OW, MY NOSE YOU BROKE MY NOSE
There was a bucket to the right of them. Tom runs to the bucket then goes to the acid and fills the bucket
and runs back to henry.
T: that’s not the only thing i did
H: wait wha- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Henry just got engulfed with the acid. Tom called the ambulance and ran away before they could get to the
warehouse

wall. He fell asleep on tree and woke up hours later
G: I should probably leave now.
He said to himself. While he was getting up a pixie came out of the birdhouse
P: don’t leave now silly
He said with glee
G: what the heck are you
P: i’m a pixie who rules the woods you see, go through that mirror and you and you’ll have the time of your
life
G: i don’t know it seems kinda sketchy
P: DO IT NOW
G: no way look at all that ivy
P: if you don’t i’ll have a 7 foot tall ork called bozak stomp on you

Greg crawled through with terror and braveness eventually after 2 minutes of crawling he got into what
looked like a little village with a bunch of little creatures elves, pixies, trolls, goblins, orks and fairies and
stuff like that with houses in trees and real house’s in the far distance there was a castle. It was made out of
the same brick of the wall behind the tree. All the creatures ran up to Greg.
Creatures: your are saviour
G: how
C: because humans are coming into our dimension and destroying our village. We just got the orks to save
us.
All of a sudden a group of men came through the mirror but they got so scared of all the orks that they all
ran back to their own dimension

Mother walks up to Alice’s room to wake her up. Mother shakes Alice briefly.
Mother starts speaking in a low whispering voice.(her voice is always soothing and calm.)
Mother:wake up Alice! The ship! Its about to board.
Alice squints her eyes to see her mother on her bed trying to wake her up.
Alice:Mother what?
Mother:the sardines ship will be boarding in half an hours time
Alice:what?
Mother:the sardines ship?!
Alice:umm…..ok
Mother:get ready in 10 minutes
Mother drags Alice out of her bed
Mother: I got you something new.
Mother pulls out a fancy dress.
Alice: Mother you shouldn-
Mother:you deserved it,now chop chop.we don’t wanna be late.

Alice gets the dress on and the next scene begins to prepare. When Alice finished getting dressed,they

They swift through the upstage left and leaves the stage. Next scene gets prepared.

Johns: she will have to go with the police back to Ireland and have to get questioned. The rest of it is up to
the police.
Police: Mary O Clery will have to get questioned and then we might have to apply charges to her. she may
get arrested for a few days but we have to first figure out how she got the money.
Alice: she got it from Lucy.
Police:who?
Alice:Lucy Gray?!
Lucy comes into the scene still looking bitter.
Lucy:huh?
Johns:young girl,where did you get all the money?
Lucy:My father is Charles Gray, former prime minister of the UK. HE gave me the money.
John: I see….
Police:well your mother will have to get questioned anyways so we will tell you what happens next.
The officer and Mary leaves the scene with handcuffs on.
John:You will be fine kids.
Lucy: um….ok
Alice: my mother gave me an address to follow so I’ll take it from there.
John:Young girl, New York is huge for a little girl like you. It would nearly be impossible for a girl like you to
look for a single address.
Alice reads the address in her head carefully.
Alice: Newman Springs Road. Where is that?
John:oh that’s not very far.Thats exactly 10 minutes away from our landing spot.that’s a road though. It’s
definitely not an address.
Lucy:It must be a hotel then.
John gets out a map to clarify the area.
John: I don’t know. That place is a big city. We will be landing now in New Jersey, New York so you can take
it from there.You can go to the church.Holmdel Dutch Reformed Church is a lovely church. You will be delighted
to go there
Alice: OK.
Lucy:What about me? I have no idea where to go.
Alice:You can come with me.
Lucy:OK.
The ship stopped to land.
John:We are getting off now so we have to leave the ship early just so the other passengers won’t be overcrowding.
Random speaker:welcome to New Jersey, New York.
Sir Johns,Lucy and Alice quickly got out of the ship and left early.They arrived at the church and got a
place to stay there.Sir Johns soon leaves.The priests were very nice and always praying for them. Mother
after 3 weeks arrived at the church.
Alice:Mother!

HATFORDSHIRE
A crowd of people gather at the bottom of the garden. A tour guide, wearing a bright red jacket, stands
slightly in front of them.
Tour guide: And this garden is where the Cavendish children played, exactly 100 years ago!
A little girl, barely eight years old, raises her hand to ask a question.
Girl: And what happened to them? Do they still live here?
Everyone chuckles, but the tour guide looks a bit uncomfortable.
Tour guide: Well, no they don’t. The eldest, Barbara, who would have been 15 100 years ago, went on and
got married to a Lord. Then, Susanne joined the French Resistance during WWII. And the youngest, Penelope
became a nurse. They all moved out, to their husband’s country home, or to Paris, or to London to be
closer to a hospital.
Most of the crowd seem satisfied with his answer, but a man frowns and wonders out loud:
Man: Wasn’t there a fourth sister? I think it said so on the plaque outside the house.
A murmur of agreement goes through the crowd and the little girl giggles.
Girl: Yes, that’s what it says. It says “Home to Baron and Baroness Cavendish, and their beloved daughters
Barbara, Susanne, Penelope and Mary”!
Woman: So where’s Mary, then? Did she marry a Lord as well?
Tour guide: Well, um, we don’t have a lot of information on Mary. We just recently opened the home up for
viewing, and we’re still working to recover papers and such, but we do know she died 100 years ago, falling
from a high-story window.
Girl: Where’s her room? What happened to all her clothes? All her toys?
Tour guide: Well, the family was so devastated at the death, that they burned everything of hers in the
house, so as not to be reminded of her. Everything in her room was replaced, and they turned it into a
guest bedroom.
General sounds of disapproval arise from the crowd. Nobody is happy at the prospect of destroying
the possessions of someone you once loved.
Girl: And everything was destroyed?
Tour guide: Well, yes, everything except a small photo portrait of the family taken the year before she
died. Allegedly, her sister Barbara insisted on keeping it. The only remaining photo of her. And come to
think of it, she looks a lot like y-
He is cut off by another tour guide , who approaches the crowd.
Tour Guide No.2: I think you’ve all seen the front garden. If you’ll move towards the back with me...
Dazed, the first tour guide looks at the moving crowd, then back. He can’t see the little girl anywhere.
But he does hear the back door swing shut and a cry of:
Girl: Mum? Do you want to play?

Scene 2
In the house’s kitchen, Tour Guide No.1, No.2, No.3 and No.4 sit at the small table, drinking coffee.
Tour Guide #3: I still can’t believe that they let us put a coffee machine in a centuries-old house!
Tour Guide #2: Yeah, I know historical preservation is important, but not as important as me getting a dose
of caffeine in the morning.
Tour Guide No.4 looks over at No.1. Unusually, he is completely silent, brow furrowed in thought. #4 waves
a hand in his face.
Tour Guide #4: Hey, what’s going on? Are you tired from standing for about 10 minutes during that tour? I
told you, you really gotta work on your leg strength, mate.
Tour Guide #1: It’s not that. It’s just, I don’t know, do you guys not think there’s something weird about this
place?
The other three exchange looks, motioning with their eyes to keep their mouths firmly shut.
Tour Guide #3: Don’t know what you’re talking about, man.
Tour Guide #4: I think the heat’s gotten to you.
Tour Guide #2: Maybe you’ve been watching too much unsolved crime on Netflix.
#2 and #3 glare daggers at him. #1 turns, very slowly, towards him.
Tour Guide #1: I never said anything about a crime.
There’s not a chance to say anything else, however, because someone enters the room. They all stand up
hastily.
Tour Guide #4: Ma’am.
Tour Guide #2: Miss Cavendish.
Because there she is, in the flesh. Barbara Cavendish’s great-granddaughter, Mae Cavendish. The heir, and
the keeper, to the estate and all the secrets that go along with it.

Sullivan rolls his eyes at her and takes another drag from his cigarette.
Sullivan: (sarcastically) Yeah, no, Sophie, I’m sure someone dying is very thrilling for you. Maybe they’ll
make a movie about it one day and you can play yourself!
Sarah: Hey, quit it, Nicotine at Sixteen. At least Sophie’s not the one who vomited during a police interview.
She plucks the cigarette out of his mouth. She sniffs it gingerly, then makes a face.
Sarah: (cont’d) This smells awful, by the way. Isn’t it, like, illegal for you to smoke these things?
Sullivan: And it’s even more illegal to kill someone, and I’m helping to find out who did that, so these
things balance out.
Sophie: Oooh, who’s your money on? I bet it was the brother, even though he’s quite cute.
Sullivan scoffs.
Sullivan: Damian? Why on Earth would he do that?
Sophie: I don’t know, I’m not him. He could have been jealous of her. She did quite well in that
Hamlet play of hers.
Sullivan: No, I reckon it was her boyfriend. It’s always the boyfriend.
Sarah: I thought it was always the parents.
Sullivan: (incredulously) Sarah, why would Aoife’s parents kill her and then bring her body to
school?
Sophie: Murderers do crazy things.
Everybody falls silent for a minute. Sullivan takes the still-lit cigarette out of Sophie’s hand and puts it
back in his mouth.
Sarah: (a bit too perkily) Well, we’re gonna find out, eh? We’ll be the Terrific Three, cracking the
case.
Sullivan reaches out and pulls his phone from out of his pocket.
Sullivan: Make that the Fabulous Four. I’ve got a call to make.

An alien’s ship has just crash landed in a normal suburban back garden. Yeah. A normal day.
Alien: ow. Dear god this garden is tiny. Thank God I chose a conveniently small vessel.
Boy: uh…...hey there. Couldn’t help but notice that your conveniently small ship crashed in
my tiny garden.
Alien: hello…. puny earthling? Yes, my ship is conveniently small but it’s also in inconveniently
damaged.
Boy: so, you need parts?
Alien: yes actually, do you have any nuclear rods laying about?
Boy: I have a car.
Alien. Sigh. Can I commandeer this vessel?
Boy: I need that for school tomorrow.
Alien: you drive?
Boy: my dad drops me.
Alien: right ok. I’m just going to take it. sorry.
Boy: uhh. I can take a bus I suppose.
Alien. Yeah, I’ll go.
Next morning.
Dad: where the hell is my car?
Boy: yeah you won’t believe this but…..
Later walking down to the police station
Dad: so, an alien has my car.
Boy: yes.
Dad: and why would an alien want a 2006 Toyota corolla?
Boy: to get to a nuclear power plant.
Dad: of course. Right.
Policeman: hello sir, how may I assist you?

Dad: my car was stolen last night, my boy here was clearly hit pretty hard, he thinks an alien
stole it.
Boy: dad, did you look in the back garden?
Dad: why the hell would I?
Boy: the spaceship?
Policeman: can we get back to the subject at hand? an alien stole your car.
Dad: yeah. Apparently so.
Policeman: we’ve all heard that one before. It’s a criminal offence to waste police time.
Boy: just come with us to our garden.
Later in the garden, a smoking crater greets them.
Dad: well then.
Policeman: I stand corrected.
Boy: see dad? I told you so.
Alien (from behind) oh hey guys
Policeman: hands up! You’re coming with me.
The alien flips over the policeman, depositing the rods into an open hatch on his ship.
Dad: WAIT WHERES ME CAAAR
Boy: probably for the best, it was old anyway.

My photo was a bush in my garden and the characters are both bugs trying to find water
and food. The bugs are called roger and derek.
Roger: hey derek? You hungry?
Derek: yeah I suppose, we should go out and get some droplets or flowers.
Roger and derek leave the bush to hunt for some rain droplets or flowers.
It has been 25 minutes and they haven’t found any rain.
Derek: what is with it today? We cant seem to find anything at all?
Roger: I know right? Really odd.
The angle changes to show that it is the height of summer and it hasn’t rained for weeks.
Derek: Hey look, that creature has a drink!
A big man sitting on his deckchair slurps a sprite greedily.
Derek: lets see if we can get a sip!
Man: hey! Those bugs are going for me sprite!
Roger: run Derek, run!

They walk unconsciously through a wall into James room
James : WHA-
James’ mum is in his room helping him tidy up
James : MUM WHAT THE HECK DO YOU SEE THAT ?
James mum : calm down what
James : Do you not see that
James mum : No , you should stop looking at all those myth books or whatever they are
James : ok
James’ mum walks off stage and leaves
James : What are you three ?! You can walk through walls , like what type of people do that ?!
May : Well we are ghosts I guess
James : Ghosts
Ash : No one else can see us only other ghosts , you’ve been the only living person to see us
Yelenda : yea
James tries to touch the three girls but the back away
Yelenda : no one can touch us , your hand will go through
James : Right , do you guys want something to eat ?
Yelenda : Ghosts can’t eat anything.
James : ok
James mum walks on-stage into the half of james’ room
James mum : James are you alright , you were talking to yourself ?

Ash :We don’t... That’s the thing. we stick together.
James walks on stage behind the three sisters and records their conversation
Yelenda : Don’t you feel like there’s someone following us , like we’re being watched over ?
James holds his breath
Ash rolls her eyes
Ash : James is behind us , somehow he managed to find us. I told you it was a bad idea .
James : what were you talking about ?
Ash : none of your business .
Ash glares at james
The three girls walk off stage leaving james standing there

James : Finally I have proof there’s such things as ghosts.
James walks to the other half of the stage where there’s his back garden.His mum is also there
James : Hey mum , I found this conversation and I thought it would be interesting. Do you want to hear it ?
James’ mum : Sure
James plays the recording
James’ mum : Sorry I can’t hear the conversation
James : It’s okay mum
James walks to the other half of the stage where he sees the three sisters in his bedroom

Ash : Alright , we don’t need James’ help.
Yelenda :No we don’t . Ever since that fire when you were 10 and when Yelenda and I were 13 we didn’t
need and haven’t gotten any help from any human being ever
May : you really didn’t need to bring up that Yelenda , you know Ash is sensitive.
Ash : What are you so scared of anyways ? Dying a second time?
Yelenda rolls her eyes
Yelenda : I swear you two can be so annoying sometimes.
James : So are you three just going to uhh continuing quarreling or are we actually going to talk about what
you are doing in my room
Yelenda : Shut up James
Ash : Yelenda you get heated real quick
Yelenda : You two Ash
James walks between ash and yelenda
James : Ok ok you two we are going to start actually talk about what you want and why you’re here now ok
?
Yelenda : fine
Ash : alright
May : Ok James we keep lagging behind in time. We die 20 years ago but we’re really 33 years old we died
when we were 13 and we have no clue why we are lagging.
James : That is a lot of information but alright and what do you want me to do ?
May : Ok so basically all you have to do is go to our house, search for clues and find the reason why we
keep lagging behind time then find a scientist who can study us and be able to see us
James : Where is your old house ?
Yelenda : Ok long story short we don’t really know
James : Ok so you’re telling me that we have to
Yelenda : you
James: ok I have to find this house that you don’t know where it is, search for clues probably in a pile of
ashes and then we have to find a scientist who can study your problems and they have to be able to see
you, then find a cure?
Ash : yes pretty much
James : Ok im 14 I have school
Ash : you can look after school I suppose
James : ok, look this just sounds a little psychotic I have to find clues for 3 ghosts and find a scientist who
can see ghosts and study them so the scientist can find a cure.
Yelenda : so ?Your already really psychotic , you can see us fellow ghosts

Yelenda : ok we have to find a way to go to a different part of England without being seen
May : Um guys
James : what May ?
Ash: look the woods
They see a pile of dust with a large plaque saying “here lies a family of five Mariah, Yelenda , Ashley, Dominic
and Merideth Johnson died on 1973”
Yelenda : Well May you were wrong
May : Shut it Yelenda
Ash : Oh my gosh which one of you two is the most responsible I’m the youngest and you two won’t stop
quarreling
Yelenda and May : Sorry Ash
Ash :Right , can we just appreciate for a moment that James is actually going to help us out
James : what do you want me to do
Yelenda : Only the living can help us search because were in the city and what if someone sees us searching
for clues, that would look really suspicious, only James can look for the clues but we can help him identify
the clues

James : Ok what specific clues do you want me to look for
Ash : We don’t know..
Yelenda : You see when we were younger our parents had a book full of myths and legends it had something
about ghosts lagging behind time, I’m pretty sure it has a cure and threats in that book.
May : Our parents kept it in a wooden box, and they kept it in a bigger metal chest.
Ash : Since when-
Yelenda : before you were born dummy
Ash : Alright no need to be so feisty
Yelenda : May do you remember what colour the box was ?
May : Silver definitely silver
James holds up a medium sized metal box and opens it , inside is a smaller wooden box and in the smaller
wooden box is a mini dictionary

James : The Myths and Legends of Ghost “ The time ticking ghosts , this was a myth and people said that
these ghosts were lagging and glitching almost , they disappear when they have died for a second time
legends say.”
Ash : Does it have a cure, do we have a cure ?
James turns the page
James : “The only cure is if you find a special microscopic bacteria and spread it all over the orb , no one
has ever seen a time ticking ghost.”
