Important Reopening Team Update<br />
With the onset of the Delta variant and increasing COVID transmissions,<br />
especially in Harford and Cecil counties, the Reopening Team has determined<br />
to modify our Safety protocol once again. This change, effective on Friday,<br />
will require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks<br />
indoors, with the following exceptions: Masks are optional for service leaders<br />
and choir members on the bimah if they are vaccinated and distance themselves<br />
from one another. Those in the same "bubble" need not distance from one<br />
another.<br />
In addition, guidelines for the ONEG have now been put into place. Our goal for<br />
ONEG’s is to provide a safe opportunity for eating and schmoozing. To achieve<br />
this, we will focus activities around tables rather than in larger groups. Food<br />
and drinks will be available at tables rather than a buffet, and everyone will be<br />
encouraged to keep masks on except when eating. All other protocols will<br />
remain unchanged: masks not required outside; seating at a distance; etc. The<br />
primary rationale behind this change is due to the understanding that<br />
vaccinated persons, although they personally are very safe from severe impacts<br />
of COVID, appear to be able to pass on the virus to others, who if unvaccinated<br />
may experience those major impacts.<br />
The Reopening Team will provide another update with any changes prior to the<br />
High Holidays.<br />
