PROVOST GUARD
Yes, we were as disappointed as you were that we had to cancel the June 12th Provost Spaghetti dinner.
But, due to circumstances beyond our control, President Jon Schneider, in consultation with the committee,
felt it was best that we do not hold the dinner as scheduled. As many people did not feel comfortable
working the kitchen, tending tables, setting-up, etc., and of course, not knowing the response we would
receive from our patrons, it was decided that in the best interest of all concerned to cancel the dinner and
put our collective efforts into having a super All-You-Care-To-Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, October
9th, 2021.
We do promise the best, yes, the VERY BEST dinner that we could possibly have on that date! Pasta,
meatballs, sauce, fresh bread, crisp salad and soft drinks, all for the amazing price of just $7.00 per person.
We will also have a large selection of outstanding, homemade, freshly baked cakes, pies, cookies, and other
goodies for sale as well.
So, again PLEASE circle Saturday, October 9th for the date of the Provost Guard Spaghetti Dinner. We’ll be serving from 3-7
p.m., take-out or eat in at the All-Purpose Meeting and Eating Room on the campus of your Rajah Shrine. There is plenty of free
and easy parking, and tickets will be available at the door.
Elsewhere regarding the Provost, we will have a contingent of members going to the annual gathering of M.A.S.A. in Virginia
Beach in September. We look forward to seeing Ill. Sir Jared Kichline, PP, being installed Captain of the Mid-Atlantic Shrine
Provost Guard Association during our annual meeting on Friday, September 10th.
Although it has been a tough couple of years, last year’s President Bob Himes and our current President Jon Schneider, along
with our elected line of officers, have been able to keep things moving along and look forward to carrying out our respective duties
at the upcoming Rajah events and hope you will support the temple’s efforts as well.
