StratiS HealtH Culture Care ConneCtion Resources for Your Clinic Culture Care Connection www.culturecareconnection.org This Minnesota Web site is an online learning and resource center dedicated to supporting Minnesota’s health care organizations in their efforts to provide culturally competent care. The site provides resources to help organizations meet the Office of Minority Health’s national standards on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS), including information on cultural competence concepts, health topics, ethnicities, stakeholder organizations, and resources that reflect the needs of Minnesota’s diverse populations. Minnesota Online Interpreter Roster www.health.state.mn.us/interpreters Locate interpreters by language and location on the Minnesota Department of Health searchable database. The roster includes interpreters representing more than 20 languages with information about interpreter availability, languages spoken, gender, and experience in medical specialty areas. The exchange www.health-exchange.net The Exchange is an online resource to exchange information and health education materials translated in the languages most frequently spoken in Minnesota. Minnesota Health Literacy Partnership http://healthlit.themlc.org Open to Minnesota consumers and health care, social service, and community organizations. Members benefit from regular updates on local and national health literacy efforts, monthly networking and educational meetings, and sharing resources. International Institute of Minnesota http://www.iimn.org A social service organization that serves people in transition and promotes the welfare of all nationalities and races. Center for Victims of Torture http://www.cvt.org/index.php A social service organization that works to heal the wounds of torture for individuals, their families and communities, and to stop torture worldwide.
