Van ‘t Hek.started the installation workson the foundations for theStrekdammen Wind Farm, locatedat the breakwaters inEemshaven, Groningen.The wind farm will feature two5.5 MW Cypress wind turbinesfrom GE Renewable Energy(GE). GE will start with the installationof the two turbines in2022. The civil works and electricalinfrastructure is beingcarried out by contractorsVolkerWind and Alsema.The wind turbines are expectedto become operational inmid-2022. The wind farm is aproject of Pondera and Rebel.2Nij Hiddum-HouwIn August, foundation installationworks started at the 42MW Nij Hiddum-Houw WindFarm in the province ofFriesland. The work is performedby the contractor combinationJansma Drachten B.V. –M. Westra B.V. and is expectedto last until the end ofOctober.It concerns a repowering projectwhereby sixteen Vestaswind turbines with a total installedcapacity of approximately5 MW will be replaced bynine Enercon E136 EP5 windturbines, each with a capacityof 4.65 MW. The first electricityis expected in the secondhalf of 2022.The initiators of the wind farmare Vattenfall and Gooyum-Houw BV, a partnership of 45Den TolWind turbine construction hasstarted at the approximately33 MW Den Tol Wind Farm, locatedin the rural area ofNetterden in the municipalityof Oude IJsselstreek. NineNordex N117 wind turbines,each with a tip height of 189meters and a capacity of 3.6MW, are being installed here.Windpark Den Tol is an initiativeof a number of farming families.The wind farm was deindividualsand companiesfrom the area. Vattenvall ownsfour wind turbines andGooyum-Houw owns the remainingfive wind turbines.. 3De Drentse Monden enOostermoerAt the end of July, all wind turbinesat the 175.5 MW DeDrentse Monden enOostermoer Wind Farm in theprovince of Drenthe werestanding tall. Spread over anarea of 50 km2, a total of 45wind turbines were installed insix line arrangements.Nordex provided its typeN131/3900 wind turbine with145 meter hub height, 131 meterrotor diameter and 3.9 MWcapacity. The German turbinesupplier is currently performingtests before the turbinescan be handed over to theowners.The wind farm is an initiativeof three parties: DuurzameEnergieproductie ExloërmondB.V., Pure Energie andWindpark OostermoerExploitatie B.V..4WindplanblauwIn late August, Dura Vermeerstarted with the concreteworks for the foundations atSwifterwinT on Land, theonshore part ofWindplanblauw.Windplanblauw is a joint projectof Vattenfall andSwifterwinT, a collaboration ofmore than 170 agricultural entrepreneursand residents ofthe municipality of Dronten, inthe northwest corner ofFlevoland. The plan comprisesthirty-seven wind turbines onland and twenty-four wind turbinesin the waters of theIJsselmeer. The latter will bebuilt by Vattenfall.SwifterwinT op Land alreadyreached financial close at theend of December 2020. Thewind farm will feature thirty-sevenVestas wind turbines,type V162-5.6 MW. Four wind turbinesare being built in a lineup alongthe Pleijroute (N325).They are supplied by Germanturbine manufacturer Enerconand are of the type E-115 EP3with a 177.5 meter tip heightand 115.7 meter rotordiameter.Koningspleij Wind Farm is aninitiative of Rijn en IJsselEnergiecoöperatie, Prowindand Pure Energie. Three of thefour wind turbines are a citizens’initiative. The fourthwind turbine is being developedby Pure Energie.The wind farm is planned tobe completed by the end ofthis year and to generatearound 34.5 million kWh peryear.7veloped with the support ofWindunie Development. InJanuary this year, financialclose was reached after whichthe construction work couldstart. The first pile was drivenin mid-April. Green TrustConsultancy is responsible forthe constructionmanagement.The wind farm is scheduled todeliver its first electricity inthe spring of 2022. The nineturbines together will produceover 80,000 MWh of electricityannually.8De RietveldenDe Rietvelden Wind Farm onand near De RietveldenIndustrial estate in ‘sHertogenbosch was completedin July.The wind farm features fourNordex N117/3600 wind turbineswith a 119 meter hubheight, a 117 meter rotor diameter,and a tip height of 177.5meters. Together they are expectedto generate around38.6 million kilowatt hours peryear.De Rietvelden Wind Farm is aninitiative of HeinekenBrouwerij ‘s Hertogenbosch,container terminal BCTN, contractorBarten, the Penningsfamily, Pure Energie and cooperativeBossche WindmolenWest. The latter, with over 540members, is owner of one ofthe four wind turbines.Pure Energie has been involvedfrom the start in the roleof developer and energysupplier.Heineken will purchase theelectricity produced by threeof the four wind turbines.9Noord-BevelandIn the first half ofAugust, the last© ZEEWOLDE26 | 01-2021
wind turbinewas installed atthe Noord-Beveland onshorewind farm, locatedin theJacoba-Rippolder on Noord-Beveland. The wind farm comprisesfour Nordex N117 windturbines, each with a rotorblade of 58.5 metres, a hubheight of 91 meters, and a capacityof 3.6 MW. They replacefive older Nordex N90 windturbines in the area. Parts ofthe old wind farm are beingreused.The project is an initiative ofWindpark Noord-Beveland BVand is managed by GreenTrust, together withWindkracht Beheer enInspecties B.V.
