The midfielder, who is still just 18, was scouted while playing for Guernsey FC and his signing announcement was confirmed in late 2019, prior to the official switch at the turn of 2020. Scott joined the Under-18s setup before a move to the Under-23s side, who went on to finish top of the Professional Development League South division last season. Injuries to the first team last season meant Nigel Pearson would look at his Under-23s options and Scott got the nod away to Swansea City, albeit he was an unused substitute. He waited patiently for his opportunity, returning to the matchday squad away to Coventry City before his first taste off the bench at home to Luton Town. He was part of Pearson’s plans as the City manager reshaped his squad in the summer and Scott found himself in the starting XI on matchday one at home to Blackpool. “I had wanted first-team football, I had that taster towards the back end of last season, so I’ve really enjoyed it,” said Scott. “Since then, I’ve played in some good results but we’ve had tough ones as well, now we just need to get the results at home and that can help us push on." 4 20 | THE ROB NS AFC Bournemouth
