Mural Tidbits<br />
Flying Highlands<br />
Flying Highlands is the Mural Society’s newest mural! It is located<br />
in the WaWa store vestibule in Lake Placid.<br />
Perched above the door, the 4 foot high and 11 feet wide mural<br />
captures so many of the icons that are a part of Lake Placid. From<br />
the colorful caladiums, to the eye catching tower with palms and a<br />
lake in between, Lake Placid is captured in beautiful splendor.<br />
Flying across the canvas is also a great Canadian Goose. While<br />
these geese may not be native to Lake Placid, this one is a symbol of<br />
the WaWa goose, which represents teamwork in WaWa stores. It<br />
was completed in September of 2021 by artist Keith Goodson, and<br />
we could not be more proud of all of the collaboration and<br />
teamwork that it took between the Mural Society, Mr. Goodson,<br />
and WaWa to bring this gorgeous mural into the community. We<br />
hope that you all enjoy it as much as we do.<br />
