The province is expected to announce that truck and other<br />
traffic between the lower mainland and Alberta will be temporarily<br />
diverted via Highway #3 while road repairs are effected<br />
along the TransCanada Highway. Salmo may see a significant<br />
increase in traffic due to this diversion. Some of these truckers<br />
have never been through Highway 3, never mind over the<br />
Kootenay Pass, so please keep in mind that we should be both<br />
patient and vigilant while giving them lots of space when sharing<br />
the highway with them.<br />
