PR leading lady<br />
Heading up her boutique brand communications consultancy, Louise Hunt is a respected<br />
name in PR and marketing - specifically in the property industry. She’s is a strong, bold and<br />
creative strategist with a spontaneous laugh, limitless energy and a head for real estate.<br />
Twenty years ago, Louise opened<br />
the doors to Hunt PR. She did so<br />
with supreme confidence, because<br />
her personal and geographic history<br />
placed her at the heart of what she<br />
does best.<br />
Not only was she raised on the shores<br />
of Umdloti, but her family history<br />
stretches back to the 1900s to Squire<br />
Samuel Bacon, a pioneer of this<br />
prestigious seaside town. The North<br />
Coast is in her blood.<br />
Growing up, Lou’s parents, too,<br />
had a notable influence on her<br />
understanding of real estate, from<br />
negotiating a deal to appreciating<br />
architectural aesthetics, beautiful<br />
design and the value of identifying<br />
a good investment. Today, she<br />
shares this love for, and instinctual<br />
understanding of, the vagaries of this<br />
ever-changing landscape.<br />
While Louise’s public relations<br />
expertise is not limited to property,<br />
she’s undoubtedly played a leading<br />
role in writing, sharing, telling and<br />
bringing the dynamic story of<br />
the North Coast and many of its<br />
catalytic developments to the wider<br />
public. She has built long-standing<br />
relationships with leaders in this<br />
industry, respected figures in the<br />
property world and individuals<br />
within the communities in which<br />
they operate. She’s launched<br />
developments and precincts and<br />
documented the extraordinary story<br />
of urban development as <strong>Umhl</strong>anga<br />
Ridge and other nodes transformed.<br />
Recently, she’s contributed towards<br />
crafting a unique sense of place<br />
with acclaimed developers, Collins<br />
Residential, in a series of prestigious<br />
developments and her consultancy<br />
was appointed by managing broker, Andrew Thompson, to represent eXp South<br />
Africa - one of 18 countries in the world’s fastest growing and largest property<br />
brokerage in history.<br />
With her knowledge of North Coast residential property in particular, we asked<br />
Lou to share her thoughts on the future of our own burgeoning ‘gold coast’. “The<br />
projected growth for the region is extremely exciting. Sustainable, responsible<br />
development that honours the environment while connecting communities is<br />
key,” she muses. “Many of new developments taking shape have a fresh niche<br />
offering - there’s a home, a landscape, an ethos to suit everybody’s pocket and<br />
vision for their future. The past few years have highlighted our need for a reset, a<br />
