our webpage https://www.swaffhamparishchurch.
org/ or Facebook (Swaffham Parish Church). Although
we are not able to run our normal festival, we will have
some charity Christmas trees in church 30th November
- 5th December inclusive - no cash collection but with
options for online giving available.
Our Fabric Officer, Jan Hayes-Griffin, who coordinates
the work on the church building on behalf of the
parochial church council, writes:
"Over the last few months, we have been carrying out
essential repairs and maintenance to the church as we
begin to open up after the pandemic. The stonework
and glazing to the last green window on the south side
of the Church has been completed and inscriptions
to two generous donors installed. The Church is now
beautifully floodlit at night following the installation
of new floodlights and four lights right at the top of
the Fleche. Repairs and cleaning to the Bell Tower will
enable our bells and bell ringers can continue to peal
out across the town. Our band of volunteers continue to
polish and clean the Church every week and our flower
arrangers provide lovely seasonal displays.
All this work helps to ensure our magnificent church is
kept open for the community and visitors to enjoy and
host our exciting programme of events in the run up to
Christmas."
Please come in and visit - we are open 10am to 3pm
most days - you will be made very welcome
