The taste of a premium Ice Cream is a sensation that evokes the greatest emotions.
I come from a lineage of three generations of Ice Cream makers who have produced
exceptional Ice Creams with countless satisfied customers, and today I am equally
proud to put my name to Mario’s luxury Ice Creams
Mario
Mario’s is one of Wales foremost luxury Ice Cream
makers that combines a strong Italian heritage
with Welsh ‘hiraeth’. Based in rural South Wales,
Mario’s is conveniently located in the heart of
dairy country where the warm temperate climate
provides lush pasture for a plentiful supply of
delicious first quality fresh milk that helps to
produce our award winning luxury Ice Cream.
Family traditions...
Mario Dallavalle firmly believes in the importance
of family values where his wife Heather and
children Riccardo, Francesca and Caitlin all help to
run the family business. Mario follows this principle
working closely with local farming families who
have the best herds and finest milk.
Mario has enjoyed over forty years experience as a
master Ice Cream maker and is a perfectionist in
the art of the Gelataio, a gift he inherited from his
grandparents in Italy. Mario chose West Wales to
settle to ensure the plentiful supply of first
quality milk and cream, the key essential
ingredients for his multi award
winning Ice Cream.

We regularly introduce new flavours to our range to satisfy the popular demand
from our loyal and enthusiastic customers. Our development team are constantly
exploring exciting new recipes, techniques and ingredients to enhance the product
quality and stimulate our taste buds!
Key ingredients...
Traditionally we use the first quality dairy milk
which is rich in fat and cream from our local
farmer, whilst we are adapting to the popularity
for dairy free alternatives such as coconut milk.
Our passion for Ice Cream making and creating
innovative recipes sees us sourcing the best
ingredients from all around the world.
Visually tantalizing!
As well as using the finest ingredients to intensify
our luxury Ice Cream experience, we pay great
attention to the texture, colour and appearance of
our Ice Creams to ensure the customer enjoys the
ultimate tantalising experience of our indulgent
flavoured Ice Creams.
Unlike some mass
manufactured brands,
we afford the time to
leave our cream to relax
and steep overnight to
optimise the aging process
and enhance the rich
creamy texture.

working on the latest varieties, researching recipes,
testing flavours, enhancing specifications and
trend spotting new ideas.

and suppliers to develop exciting new
recipes and flavours adapting to social

Despite our Artisan Ice Cream making skills, we use a state of the art modern
manufacturing facility based in a dedicated food production cluster in the
Crosshands Food Park, part of a regional centre for food excellence. We offer the
highest levels of food manufacturing to assure the best quality products.

We use the very best manufacturing processes
to create the finest products, and have recently
expanded our capacity using the latest Ice Cream
making equipment to offer technically superior
products for a sustained and consistent basis.
We are able to quickly adapt to new recipes
and packaging formats accommodating the

Mario’s Ice Cream is established on the foundation of using premium quality
traditional dairy milk sourced locally from our neighbourhood farms. The superior
quality of our milk commands a sumptuous and delicious flavoured luxury Ice Cream
that has been recognised with countless industry awards and accolades.
Milk, naturally!
Our dairy range of traditional Ice Creams uses
carefully selected first quality local cows milk
that ensures a consistency of high standards. The
cream rich milk is then prepared at our factory
where it is mixed with the various ingredients
and freezing stages to produce a desirable
combination of appetising flavour and texture. The
Ice Cream preparation will also undertake various
resting procedures that enhances the taste of the
finished product before being ready to be packed.
Fabulously fresh!
We use fresh milk sourced from our local friendly
farming family who supply the finest quality
assured milk. Their prize winning herd of Holstein
cattle are regular competitors at the Royal
Welsh show that assures the consistency of high
standards and animal welfare providing Mario’s
with an undoubted
premium quality

We always use the finest ingredients to ensure a
good foundation for our award winning dairy free
Ice Creams and sorbets. With careful development
to ensure no compromise on our exacting
standards and to offer consistent alternatives for
our traditional range, we search and source the
best natural ingredients from all around the world
such as Coconut milk from East Africa and Vanilla
from Madagascar to support the luxurious flavours
of our superior quality dairy free Ice Creams.

Our development team have been very careful
to create exciting new dairy free recipes that
maintain the same luxurious tastes of traditional
dairy Ice Creams without any compromise in
quality or flavour. Our dairy free range is vegan
friendly, uses no animal bi-products and is
