NEVE Herron FROM THE DRESSING ROOM Hello everyone and welcome back to Eppleton, as we begin the New Year by continuing our season in the FA Women’s Championship against Crystal Palace. It’s great to be back for us girls playing in front of you all again, and we’re really appreciative of how your support has helped us so far this season. It’s been great it 2021 firstly to get promoted, and then I think we’ve really built well from there. We have a young and promising squad and I believe that we’ve shown real character towards the end of the calendar year. We’ve had injuries and illnesses at certain points throughout the season, and we’ve really pulled together as a team and worked hard to get ourselves into a good position. After the few weeks we’ve had without a game, the girls are now really excited and fully focused on picking up where we left off and having a strong second half of the season. There are a busy couple of weeks on the road coming up this month which will require the whole squad to be right at it, so it’s good for us to be here at Eppleton in our first match back – it’s great to play in front of you all and your support never goes unnoticed. Our priority is the league and that’s one thing we’ve always made clear, so we go again now to pick up as many points as we can for the rest of the season. Enjoy the game, Neve WWW.SAFC.COM 7
