STAGS PLAYER VISITS
In December, there were numerous
visits made by Stags players,
contributing towards a number
of different provisions hosted
by Mansfield Town Football in
the Community. As well as the
Premier League Kicks programme,
Football in the Community are also
involved in the Premier League
Primary Stars programme. Premier
League Primary Stars uses the
appeal of the Premier League
and professional football clubs to
inspire children to learn, be active
and develop important life skills.
The programme has been developed
by the ‘Premier League Charitable
Fund’, a Premier League funded
charity which aims to create positive
and lasting sporting, health and
education outcomes for children,
young people and the wider
community.
Stags players Danny Johnson and
Oli Hawkins attended one of our
Premier League Primary Stars
sessions at Jacksdale School during
December. This allowed young Stags
fans to meet some of the players
and gain an insight on what it’s like
to be a football player. FITC also
ran PL Kicks sessions at All Saints
Academy, and were treat to a surprise
appearances from midfielder Keaton
Ward and goalkeeper Marek Stech,
who took time to talk to the pupils
in the classroom and answer their
questions.
