Welcome to Clem Morfuni,
Swindon Town’s chairman, to
One Call Stadium for this evening’s
game.
Despite our cup exit on Saturday, I
was so proud of our club at full-time.
Our players’ endeavours - most
notably in the last hour of the game
- were exceptional and should give
us great heart as we head into the
second half of our league campaign.
I thought we were desperately
unfortunate not to win the match
against a good Championship side,
given the amount of chances we
created in the second period.
Our players and management should
be proud of their efforts, not only
from Saturday’s match, but in the two
previous rounds against League One
opposition.
Our supporters have thoroughly
enjoyed this season’s cup run and
I was greatly encouraged by our
bumper crowd at the weekend of
7297, the highest home attendance
since our League Two play-off semifinal
against Newport County in May
2019.
My hope is that many in Saturday’s
crowd will return to One Call Stadium
to back our boys in what is set to be a
fascinating second half of the season.
