WASTE WATER/PUMP OUTS<br />

Nationals Government<br />
is investing in a stronger<br />
community, with $9,300<br />
for the Gatton Campdraft<br />
Association under round six<br />
of the Stronger Communities<br />
Programme (SCP).<br />
Federal Member for Wright, Scott<br />
Buchholz joined State Member for<br />
<strong>Lockyer</strong>, Jim McDonald, Mick and Pauline<br />
Brennan of the Gatton Campdraft<br />
Association to make the announcement.<br />
Mr Buchholz said the SCP was about<br />
ensuring local community groups were<br />
supported in the great work they do, to<br />
make the region a better place to live.<br />
“Here in the <strong>Lockyer</strong> Valley, we’re so lucky<br />
to have so many good people in the<br />
community, so many local groups doing<br />
great things to make the <strong>Lockyer</strong> more<br />
liveable, to bring people together and<br />
that all helps the region.<br />
“This funding will go towards building<br />
the livestock pen and I am sure will be<br />
critically important to future Campdraft<br />

events, which are growing in popularity<br />
and will attract hundreds to Grantham.<br />
“I want to congratulate Mick and the<br />
entire team here at the Campdraft.<br />
I am pleased to be back here, this is<br />
not our first partnership, just last year<br />
we provided $<strong>12</strong>,500 for solar panels<br />
under the Energy Efficient Communities<br />
Program,” Mr Buchholz said.<br />
State Member for <strong>Lockyer</strong>, Jim McDonald<br />
said since the Campdraft has relocated<br />
they have made every post a winner.<br />
“This is another grant which will enhance<br />
their facilities.<br />
I know how much the Campdraft people<br />
appreciate this grant from our Federal<br />
Member Scott Buchholz,” Mr McDonald<br />
said.<br />
Mick Brennan said the Association was<br />
very thankful for the funding and they<br />
wanted the facility to be spot on.<br />
“We want to pass this on to future<br />
generations and it will be spot on.<br />
“We are building a great facility here and<br />
every little bit counts,” Mr Brennan said.<br />
